Playgroup Granola Bars

These were pretty good. I did find them a little too much like a dense muffin consistency rather than a granola bar. Next time I will cut the flour in half and add more oats.

Baklava

So Delicious! I used chopped almonds and pecans. The only thing I would change next time is to do as one reviewer mentioned and NOT cut all the way through before baking. I found the bottom a little too wet.

Middle Eastern Kibbeh

Just took this out of the oven and sampled.....it is delicious! I pressed it into a pan and baked it as instructed. It held together well. I do find the allspice a little overpowering for my taste, so I may cut it back a little bit next time. This tastes very similar to the Kibbeh I have tasted that was made by my friend's Lebanese mother.

Easy Curry Couscous

Wonderful EASY side dish. I can throw it together in 10 minutes start to finish and it is so tasty. A nice mild curry flavour. My family loved it!

Bodacious Broccoli Salad

Grecian Pork Tenderloin

Pizza Without the Red Sauce

OMG! This is the first time I have given a recipe 5 stars. This pizza was delicious. So savory and full of flavour. As someone else said, my husband (who is a meat pizza lover), thought this was great. Pick the toppings to your liking, the sauce is what makes this great!

Bacon Wrapped Pineapple

This was good, but maybe not my personal preference. I prefer bacon wrapped water chestnuts. But those at the BBQ raved about them and said they were their favorite thing wrapped in bacon! I marinated the pineapple in the sauce and then wrapped the chunks in bacon that had been partially cooked in the microwave. Then I served the remaining sauce for dipping. The dipping sauce really made it good.

Wally's Rib Rub

Very good rub. I found it tasted a bit too sweet when I was `checking`it, but once on the meat I did not find the sweetness overpowering at all. I put the rub on the ribs the night before, then baked them on low int he over for 2 hours. Transferred to grill for 5 min a side and they were falling off the bone! Delicious!

Blue Cheese Burgers

Sooooo Delicious! I am not a huge fan of blue cheese, but love it paired with beef. These burgers were so flavourful. I didn`t change a thing in the recipe. It was perfect.

Chicken Enchilada Dip

Delicious! I substituted 1/2 the mayo for sour cream (like many others) and it came out perfect. I did find the taco seasoning a little overpowering, so would only add a tsp of it next time.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Very delicious and easy to prepare. My only criticism is that there wasn't quite enough spice for my tastes. Next time I will add more taco seasoning and some extra chili powder.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

This was a wonderful marinade. I popped steaks into it the night before. They were mildly flavoured and were extremely tender and juicy. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because we like a lot of flavour in our house. But this marinade will become part of the regular rotation.

Mari's Clam Lovers Chowder

I used this as a base for a seafood chowder, instead of just a clam chowder. As well as clams, I added scallops, salmon, haddock and shrimp. It was rich and delicious. I did add a little dried tarragon (1 tsp) because we love the flavour with seafood. My husband and 18 month old picky eater LOVED this chowder!

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

This recipe is a standard for potlucks in our house and everyone loves it. To make it even easier (which I always do) use a package of frozen hashbrowns (thawed)in place of the red potatoes. Then all you have to do is mix everything together, put it in the pan and bake it. Comes out perfect.

Crispy Orange Beef

This was delicious! Frying the beef was a little messy, but it turned out crispy and was sweet and sticky when covered in the sauce. I did find the orange flavour quite strong. Next time I will cut back a bit on the orange and add a little chili oil to give it a sweet/spicy kick. But overall, a definite keeper!

Beer Beef Stew II

This was an okay recipe for stew, but I have made better recipes. My favorite that I always go back to is to use the "gravy" recipe from "Kathy's Roast Beef" recipe but instead turn it into a stew.....very yummy!.

Mediterranean Lemon Chicken

I used this marinade on bone-in, skinless breast and it came out very well. Marinated overnight. I used 3 large cloves of garlic and still did not find the garlic flavour as strong as I would have liked (but we like a lot of garlic). Overall a great easy marinade.
