oh my goodness! these were fabulous! i tweaked the recipe quite a bit to make it healthier and it still turned out fabulous! here are my suggestions for tasty AND nutritious scones: use 3 cups whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup milled flax seed, and 1/2 cup wheat germ in place of the all purpose flour. use plain nonfat yogurt in place of the sour cream. i also halved the amount of sugar and used brown sugar instead and it was still PLENTY sweet! i threw in some slivered almonds and dried cherries and added a little cinnamon and nutmeg to the dough. these were hearty AND delicious and you would never guess they were packed full of nutritious goodness!
