Noni Afghani

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
This is easy to make and tastes really good. It makes pretty big breads so sometimes I make mine smaller but if you make them too small they can get hard.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
This wasn't as good as i expected from the reviews. I think the dough needs to be refrigerated first. Also the dough looked really greasy and unappetizing and this is from someone who normally loves chookie dough. These were decent (as in they had chocolate in them) but not great (as in that was the only good part).

This was a very good fig coffee cake-ish thing but it bore no resemblence to fig neutons whatsoever. >.

Chocolate Truffle Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
The first time I made this I didn't have chocolate chips or cocoa powder and I absolutly butched it but it still tasted great. This is so much better than the cookies that you make from cake mix. The second time I made this it was even better. All my friends love it!

Sweet-and-Sour Skewered Shrimp

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2008
I made this for my dad's family of 17 and they loved it! Some of them are allergic to shrimp so I marinated shrimp and chicken. The other reviewers were right, the key is the marinade. I suggest skewering meat and vegetables separately to avoid the yucky delimma of vegetables burned to a crisp and raw disgusting germy chicken.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2008
These tasted relly good and were much easier to make than the other veggie burger recipe I tried. The looked great too. I added some corn.

Carrot Rice Nut Burger

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2008
I made these but they looked really dry and crumbly so I added 2 eggs per 5 servings. This held together better and made 10 veggie burgers. I baked them in the oven for 8-10 minutes per side at 375 because my parents really don't trust me with the grill. They tasted good but if you make a whole recipe, it will make a ton. The second time I made these I didn't add the olive oil because it just gummed up my tiny food processer the first time.

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2008
This tasted really good and I don't even like applesauce. I added some cloves as others suggested.

Byrdhouse Blistered Cherry Tomatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2008
These were easy to make but mine didn't look nearly as preety as the picture. My mom and I can't agree, she likes hers really undercooked but I prefer mine cooked more. Either way I cook them one of us is unhappy. I would make these again if we had a lot of tomatoes from the garden but I wouldn't but tomatoes out of season or anything just for this recipe.

Licorice Caramels

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2008
These caramels are really delicoius but they didn't taste very licoricey. I had to use anise oil because I couldn't find anise extract. They were also kinda hard to make if you don't have a candy thermometer. Overall pretty good. *UPDATE* I made these again for book club, in a microwave and dipped apples in it while it was still warm. Then drizzled them in chocolate and added pecans. As my friend said, "If you could fall in love with food this would be my soulmate."
