Although this recipe smelled great while it cooked, it did leave a lot to be desired. I added broth instead of water, added garlic, and added some steak spice, and still, the dish lacked a lot of flavor. Against one reviewer's advice, I did cook carrots and potato's around the roast... not sure if that is what made the gravy bland or not. The meat was also not anywhere near as tender as it is when I normally make it. Although I floured the roast heavily before browning, I still had to add several tablespoons of flour at the end to thicken the gravy, and it was still a little thin. Overall, an OK recipe, but I will not be making it again
