Fresh Mozzarella Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
This was delicious! Both my fiance and I enjoyed it very much! I let it sit in the fridge for only a short time before serving.

Beer Batter

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2010
Here's what my fiance had to say about this recipe: "Awesome recipe! Better than what I've had at most restaurants. Beer batter has got to be cooking's greatest innovation. It has all the charm of beer with the practical greatness of deep frying. The batter bound to the shrimp and created a well integrated taste. The meal was further improved with Booming Onion dipping sauce." He especially liked that he got to drink the rest of the can of beer that I opened to make this. :D I added some cayenne powder and a little chili powder to give it a little kick. Definitely use the sauce from the recipe "Blooming Onion and Dipping Sauce" here on AR!!

Blueberry Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
This was delicious! I used fresh black raspberries, as that is what I had on hand. The subtle taste of orange juice complemented the berries perfectly! However, I think I will decrease the sugar a little bit next time. I look forward to making this with all types of berries.

Crunchy French Toast Sticks

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2009
These were really good. A nice twist on classic French toast! The recipe made a lot of sticks, and they were very filling. My boyfriend said: "It's like eating French toast and a bowl of cereal at the same time." Like other reviewers, I added some cinnamon to the egg mixture. I also added a bit of sugar. I think next time I will use frosted flakes instead of adding the sugar. I also only slightly crush the corn flakes, this gives it more of a crunch. These are sure to become a new favorite breakfast for us, thank you for the recipe!! :D

Stovetop Granola

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
Really easy to make and tastes delicious. I cut down on the brown sugar a bit. Also, I add almonds to it before putting it in the oven - this gives the almonds a nice toasted flavor. Tastes wonderful over low-fat strawberry yogurt. Yum!

Vicki's Hush Puppies

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
This is the perfect hush puppies recipe! I did make a couple small changes: For one, I added sea salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. Per another reviewer's suggestion, I grated the onion instead of dicing. This added moisture to the dough, and gave it a better flavor. I think if the onion was in chucks, it would throw off the texture - hush puppies are not supposed to be chunky. Also, I omitted the sugar. It just didn't sound right to me. I'm so glad I did too, because this turned out so delicious. This is definately my go-to recipe for hush puppies!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
These were okay cookies - definitely chewy in the middle. However, after all the hype from the reviews I had higher hopes. The texture was good, but the taste was nothing special.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2008
I'm a vegetarian, so I did not try these myself; but my boyfriend and his friends could not get enough! I got tons of rave reviews, including "These are the BEST chicken wings I've ever had!" I used a buffalo style hot sauce in addition to the butter and spices. The sauce on it's own tasted wonderful, so I know it helped add flavor to the wings.
