In the kitchen is where I belong! Cooking is a hobby of mine that started about 12 years ago. It is a joy for me to spend a whole weekend trying new recipes. I grow my own herbs and hopefully next year I'll have a nice garden producing many vegetables. My husband loves to eat and my little boy seems to be taking after his Daddy. I love to go to the beach, watch football (mostly Penn State and Steelers), and go shopping! Comfort Food pretty much sums it up. Soups, fish, chicken, potatoes. I will stuff a chicken breast with just about anything - pesto, apples & cheddar, broccoli, bruschetta, mushrooms and swiss! My sister and I take turns having the whole family over for the holidays. One year I'll have Thanksgiving and the next year I'll have Christmas. I love it when my house is filled with the people I love most. Chicken Tortilla Soup - a great party soup! Salmon Chowder...I'm very proud of that one. Last night I made my own tartar sauce and that turned out surprisingly well too. I've posted my recipe for it on here...it's called Dill Tartar Sauce but it's still in the review stage. Oh yes. There have been several. I just take each one as a learning experience.
