Mushroom Risotto, Home made pasta, Chicken in wine, Beef Stews. Polenta.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Spaghetti with Tomato sauce. Beef tongue with lentils. Sauerkraut with Bacon and smoked pork chops. Ham in bread dough with potato salad. Swiss style pies/pizzas.
My cooking triumphs
When I started cooking, I tried a recipe for Chicken in Wine. I was surprised that nothing went wrong and even my wife enjoyed it.
My cooking tragedies
None until now as I use foolproofed recipes.

Heirloom Tomato Salad with Rosemary
We had this tonight with a grilled pork tenderloin. As I didn't have any heirloom tomatoes I made it with red and yellow tomatoes on the vine which I had on hand. When I made the dressing I feared it might be to oily. But to my surprise it wasn't. We usually use onions in a tomato salad. So I was wandering what's comingout without onions. The result was great. It's a great salad on a hot day together with some grilled meat.

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto
We are Risotto lovers and I'm making a mushroom risotto at least once a month. The secret of a good risotto is stirring, stirring, stirring. And yes, you have to stay at the stover. But it's worth the efforts. I often make it with dried mushrooms because my favourite is only available dried.

Almost Beau Monde Seasoning
I used this on Beef Tenderloin and Pork Chops. And they tasted great. I'll definetly do it again.
