About this Cook
I was born in Tampa but moved to Atlanta around 3rd grade. I went on to college to get 7 college degrees from 6 different colleges. I've lived in Cali, CT, GA, TN, and now I'm back in Florida, my favorite place of all. My schedule is busy but cooking is one of my favorite hobbies. Out of all of the places I've lived and visited, none compare to the food I love in Ybor City Tampa. Ybor City is my inspiration for every dish.
My favorite things to cook
Crab Shallah, Devil Crabs, Baked pancakes, Peanut Butter Balls, Almond Fried Chicken, Jalapeno Poppers, Frozen Cups and Beer Battered Onion Rings.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is predominantly vegetarian (with some fish eaters). I'm a meat eater and I've been that way since I was in the womb. So the tradition was veggies until I came along.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking low and slow for the most tender, juicy cuts of marinated steak. I've won or placed for most of my soup recipes when in competition.
My cooking tragedies
Major mistake of using baking soda instead of baking powder in a cookie recipe once.

Garlic Butter Sauce I
I pour plenty of this sauce this over round rolls of garlic bread in a bowl. The fam LOVES it.

Grandma's Onion Rings (Southern Style)
These onion rings taste just like the onion rings I love from the Varsity in Atlanta. I now use the same batter for cauliflower and other vegetables too...especially on game day. It sneaks veggies into the empire of junk food for the fellas.
