College grad, homeowner, working in education... I LOVE anything that involves pasta, using my slow cooker, and making hearty soups. ~~none yet~~ Some of my best dishes have been 'thrown' together experiments... But my top two are my roasted chickens (seasonings vary) and my homemade fried rice- DELISH! When I was a newbie to the slow cooker, I wanted to make a good jumbalaya in it... Not really having a recipe or knowing the rules of the slow cooker, I threw some rice, water, whole cans of beans and tomatoes and seasoning and let the bad boy go.... I had a mushy mess of rice and beans that smelled FABULOUS but was extremely difficult to stomach... Still haven't tried it again... :-)
