Fusion Hummus

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
This is such a delicious recipe! I haven't made hummus in awhile so I forgot the recipe that was in my head. This was the first recipe in my search that came up and since I happen to have fresh rosemary growing in the garden, I figured I'd give it a try. It's fresh, tasty and different, yet exactly what hummus should be. The only modifications I made were by using white balsamic and added a little fresh parsley. I didn't end up using any water and it hasn't made it to the fridge yet. I will be surprised if my husband gets any tonight when he comes home from work! Awesome recipe. Thanks.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
Very tasty and easy but slightly liquidy so next time I'll reduce the amount of stock/water. This recipe definately needs beans but other than that, it's delicious. Thanks!

Brunch Scones

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
These scones are simply delicious. I whipped them up easily and baked them in my new pan. Minor modifications include, only 4 Tbsp of sugar used in the batter, dry cranberries instead of currants, used 50% whole wheat flour and I sugared the top after brushing on the egg yolk. They are so delicious plus are incredible the next morning toasted on the griddle with butter. mmmmmm

Restaurant Style Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2009
This was delicious and easy (I really can't stand making boxed food so I was very happy to find this recipe). A little too heavy to have just as a main course.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
Yum Yum Yummy! These are so easy and delicious. I went by the recipe except I substituted in one cup of whole wheat flour. Probably added too much milk into the frosting but I definitely will have another shot as I plan on making these again. Thanks Gina for a great recipe! Thanks to Chobunny for some beautiful photos and suggestions.

Bagels II

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
This recipe is delicious!! I'm a bread baker normally, but the "boiling" always made me shy away from making bagels. I finally took the plunge today after stumbling across allrecipes' recommendation and step by step instructions and am I happy I did! This is good, homemade food. I put in 3 cups whole wheat and made up for the rest with unbleached white, kneaded the whole time in my kitchen mixer (love that thing)and used my 4 year old to make the balls. After boiling and dipping a few in sesame seeds I baked for the recommended time-toasting the bottoms of the first batch to a black (darn oven). So I cut the time by a minute and raised the rack to the top resulting in gorgeously yummy ww bagels!!! Love it! THANK YOU :) My 14 month old has already eaten a whole one-butter free.

Turkey Bean Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
This was actually much better looking and tasting after it baked. I didn't have high hopes for it when I put it in the oven (didn't know why as all the ingredients sounded excellent) but when it came out, it was delicious. I will definately make this again as my very picky 4 year old ate 3 helpings and passed up brownies for it!

South of the Border Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
I love this salad and could eat it every day of the week. I love the spice, the cilantro and the cold, crunchy corn and beans. The only substitution I make is using adobo powder instead of the salt (I learned it from a friend). This is an excellent recipe-Thank you!

Cinnamon-Sugar Popcorn

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
This is very good and I make it at least once a month for a Sunday evening snack/dinner. I didn't give it 5 stars for only 1 reason, the sauce is NOT fool proof and I've botched it quite a few times (easy is one of my personal requirements). I think the best time I've made it was the first. I can't seem to get the sugar melted before the sauce gets too thick to spread. I'll definately keep at it as this is delicious, though. Thank you for the recipe!

Chicken Won Tons

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
Not my favorite-YET. It is more of a blank slate to work with. Chicken and cream cheese was not a winner although the kids ate it-too chewy and dry to make again). I'll have to try the chili powder, sour cream suggestion as I love to make little nibble food. Thanks for the idea.

Yummy Lemon Salmon Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
Made these for lunch today for my 2 boys (1.5yrs and 4) and they couldn't get enough. Loved it! I made them into small, flattened rounds about the size of chicken nuggets and they ate them with the dipping sauce (recipe provided). My only change was that I Used chopped cilantro in place of parsley and in place of the basil in the mayo sauce. Yummy!

Banana Smoothie

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
This is a delicious smoothie. I really enjoyed how quickly it went together. Next time I will take some of the others advice and freeze the bananas. Today, I also added a kiwi and some frozen strawberries as I feel this recipe is a blank slate.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2011
I really thought this was just OK. No one in my family raved at all over this (which I thought they would as creamed corn is pretty much the ONLY veggie my husband will eat). I will probably wait a year before giving this another try-I do like corn kernels in my bread.
