I am a farely new cook I really only like cooking when it is going to be great, so I stay true to the famous family recipies, but now that I am cooking more often I need to expand my cooking horizons so I am not makeing the same dishs every week.

I made curry a couple weeks ago without calling my mother-in-law for the recipie and my husband said it turned out great.

Turkey Pot Pie I
I love this recipe. I found it a few years ago and have been making it every thanksgiving and Christmas since. It has become a left over tradition for my husband and me. It is truly the best pot pie I have ever had. One thing I do diffrently is I put my pie sheel into the pie pan and then bake it by itself for 10-15 minutes until slightly brown and then I add the mixture to it top and it and bake it. By baking the bottom shell first I avoid that soggy bottom which happens with pot pies.

Salmon Fillets with Creamy Dill
If I were to describe this dish in one word it would be weird. Not gross but weird. I followed the directions percisely and could not bring myself to eat it untill I scraped off most of the toping. The mustard was a weird flavor with salmon and it had way to much seasoning. I am from Alaksa in the town with the best Salmon fishing in the world and have had salmon many diffrent ways but this is one way I will never eat it again.

Pauline Werner's Beef Stew
It was a good start, I started by following the recipie, but then I realized it needed more potato alot more, and the broth had no flavor. I ended up adding alot, alot of seasonings. Pepper, salt, garlic, rosemary, tyme, and basil.
