Potato Latkes I

Holy cow!!! This was terrific!!!! With a dobble of sour cream and chopped scallions....What can I say...Incredible!!!! And a perfect balance with stuffed cabbage. I cannot "Thank You" enough for this recipe.... I downsized to only make 4 Latkes and I will NEVER do that again...I WANTED MUCH MORE!!!! One again this is the "BEST" Latkes I have ever had....And I have had some really good ones from the big city restaurants.... This by far blew them all away.....I can't wait to make them again.....very soon....

Moussaka

Too much work for such a disappointing recipe. I had to bake this for about 3 hours because the top was sooo runny. Maybe I did something wrong, however...save your $$ and spend it in a Greek Restaurant..(I have not found an expensve Greek Restaurant yet)....By the time you make this..you would already be home from the restaurant with zero dishes to wash... If ever I was to make this...I would go back to my old recipe which is not on this web site.

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Followed the recipe to the tee, and to my surprise... a huge dissapointment. Sorry, but bisquick would have been much better. However, I do have to say this is a good biscuit for serving with sausage & gravy... My husband usually raves about my baking...Not a word was said...ooops sorry honey..maybe next time. I'll try another...

Candied Garlic Chicken Wings

Was Ok, I had to remove chicken wings from pan and throw them on the grill for a few minutes, since they became much to soft and then had to thickened the sauce with a bit of corn starch, so the sauce would adhere to th chicken wings.

Roast Leg of Lamb with Rosemary

What can I say...Delightful!!! Followed the recipe with the exception that I stuffed the roast with many cloves of garlic, added water to the bottom of the pan and cooked to temp 165 degrees ( a nice soft medium)I was really proud to serve this dish. Also, I served this with mint jelly on the side. The mint was a perfect balance to the flavor. ps This was my Husband's first experience with Lamb and he really enjoyed it!!

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Easy and pretty darn good, since apples accomodate pork with a flare. A bit sweet...but all in all it was good if you are looking for someting out of the ordinary. I would prepare this again!

Spanakopita II

This was a great meal!!! I subed fresh spinach instead of frozen... And I also didn't have phyllo, so I used Marie Callenders pie crust... All I can say is Wow. We really enoyed this... ps I added some lemon juice to give it a bit more zest....Enjoyed the leftovers!!!!

T-Bones with Onions

I changed this up a bit...Threw in diced red potatoes and baby carrots. I did'nt care for this at all!!! But, my husband thought it was great and saved the leftovers...(I would have tossed them) and said"Adios". So all in all (for my husband) I give this 2 stars....

Red Skinned Potato Salad

Enjoyable potato salad!!! Made it for a dinner party and it was a hit!! However, I finished it off with crumbles of bleu cheese and omitted the salt and pepper. It also makes great leftovers, and so enjoyable on the palate.

Broccoli Salad

OMG This was the "Hit" of my dinner party!! In addition I added one large shredded carrot. Tossed extra sunflower seeds and raisins. I can't wait to make this dish once again!!! By the way, I was looking for a cold side dish and this was it!!!!

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

This was pretty good, except as the sauce cooked, it got lumpy. Right before I served it, I covered up the lumpiness with a medley of italian cheeses. It only took a little over an hour to cook on 450 degrees and I tossed the leftovers.

Chicken Noodle Casserole II

Had to drastically change this, since it was dry. The bread cubes were replaced with panko breadcrumbs and then drizzled with butter. Replaced the peas with corn. Not an out of the ordinary casserole. Plain as day.... A huge dissapointment......
