Dad's Leftover Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2012
Awesome! Didn't have celery salt or Italian seasoning, so I substituted some oregano, thyme and garlic salt. Also forgot the milk (oops) but used 2 cups of chicken stock and it still turned out great. Perfect recipe for leftover turkey and a great base to build on depending on what you have on hand. Thanks for the recipe!

Flounder Mediterranean

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2010
I really enjoyed this variation of the original, as I did not have fresh tomatoes on hand. I made two other small changes: I omitted the capers (did not have) and added crushed red peppers (my husband likes a little kick). Thank you for this. Very yummy!

Creamy Chocolate Frosting II

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
I really ennoyed this. Not too sweet for me! I would advise to follow the instructions carefuly. I added the water too quickly (instead of gradually pouring in and watching for the desired constinency)... so mine ended up too thin. But that was completely user error!

Eggless Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
Yummy! This was my first attempt at making a cake by scratch and it was really easy and yummy. My friends all loved it! I added strawberries and chocolate frosting on top. Big hit!

Spinach Tomato Tortellini

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
Very yummy and easy to prep. I had followed other reviewer suggestions and used milk with cornstarch (was still soupy, so may need to adjust the amounts). I also sauteed garlic and onion first, then added a mixture of kale, spinach and real tomatoes (instead of canned). Thanks for the recipe!

Catfish Cakes

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
My husband and I loved this dish! I changed some things, based on what I had on hand. I baked the fish (as another reviewer suggested -- thanks!), lightly sprinkled with Cajun spices beforehand (to give it an extra kick), and then used Zatarain's seafood breadcrumbs in the mixture instead of crackers. Great alternative to crabcakes. Thanks for the great recipe!

Carrot Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
This is a great recipe. I made it as is -- except I added oats in place of nuts, as some suggested (and that is all I had in the pantry!). Will definitely make again.

Turos Csusza (Pasta with Cottage Cheese)

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2009
My mom was of Hungarian descent and used to make this all the time, minus the bacon. It was my comfort food growing up! Can be made even easier with just the noodles, cottage cheese, salt and pepper.

Pasta With Tuna Sauce

This is such a great last minute meal. Both my husband and I really enjoy it, especially on those days right before you go grocery shopping and have nothing left in the pantry!

Smashed Cauliflower

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
My husband and I really enjoyed this dish, although I made slight changes based on another recipe I have seen and what I had on hand: I only used 1 cup of chicken broth and subsituted the butter and cheeses with 1/4 cup of the following cheese blend (parmigiano, feta, one mashed garlic clove and 1tbsp of milk). Wasn't soupy at all!
