About this Cook
Single mother to one daughter, Only daughter to my mother, and sister to two wonderful brothers. I began cooking in 2008 when my mom took ill with Breast Cancer. Although her passion is cooking, so was mine. She is a phenomenal cook and I aspired to at least reach mid-level to her and I think at times I am successful. I love learning all I can from both my mom and the Internet who has taught me so much and I live each day grateful that I have the ability to log onto my computer and savor the world as well with the plethora of cooking ideas and recipes. We are all so very lucky and blessed each day of our lives.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts. Allrecipes is definitely my "go to" place when I am in a pinch and know that I will certainly find something delicious to bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sunday dinners; Thanksgiving; and celebrating birthdays.
My cooking triumphs
I made Mexican tamales (with the help of the Internet/YouTube, and when I served them to my mom, she told me, "these are better than mine." I knew instantly, that I was going places :)
My cooking tragedies
To be honest with everyone on the site when I began cooking for the family I would taste my food and then say to myself, "NOW I have to eat this," and I don't like it. But I never received any rejections and everyone ate my food because they loved me. Now they ask for certain dishes and when about am I going to bake or cook them something they like to eat.

Fluffy White Filling
OMG this is the best cake filling ever!!! Hello... I have to admit that I must have read the 1/2 cup sugar about four times before actually trusting it (because I thought it was calling for confectioner's sugar) but I went ahead with the white sugar we use daily and hoped for the best, BUT the key here to remember is To cream your butter for five (5) minutes, then when you add the sugar and shortening and evaporated milk FOR ANOTHER FIVE MINUTES, LADIES AND GENTS THIS HERE IS THE KEY TO THIS MOST PHENOMENAL cake filling. This is not explained in the short recipe but the key to your success in making this frosting that people will indeed rave about! Hope this helps.

Ultimate Cranberry Pudding Cake
Found this cake to be too excessively sweet. I did however like the infusion of the cranberries, but will not be making it again.

Italian Cream Cheese and Ricotta Cheesecake
This is the only cheesecake I make, everyone loves it immensely. Very easy 1 bowl cake, for hundreds of praises!!!
