Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
The flavour was very good, although I found it to be very juicy. I think if one added more cornstarch to the peaches it would help, I'll have to try it next time. Otherwise, it was excellent.

Perfect Berry Shortcakes

Truely perfect. The butter grating was fun to do although I have to wonder if it was necessary...?

Chocolate Drop Cookies I

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
These were excellent- not too chocolatey but still sweet enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. They were -very- crumbly unpon taking them out of the oven and trying to frost them was near impossible so i waited for about an hour before i frosted them. The best part was that they were still soft after saving them for a few days!

Gyoza

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
This recipe was good, but nothing like what you can buy at the store. Very greasy and made a mess out of my kitchen even with a screen. It took a long time to make, but it did taste good. I made a couple of large ones to eat on the go which were tasty and convenient!

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
Excellent. They were soft, sweet, full (had to press them even!), and a dash of sugar on top made them heavenly. A great recipe I will use again.

Cherry Pie III

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
I made a lot of changes that people suggested for the recipe, and it turned out very good. I have a sweet tooth so I used some sweet cherries along with the sour, but I think next time I will use even more (3 cans sweet, 1 sour)

Wonton Wrappers

Difficult to make and use, but I think that is the nature of it. Otherwise, exactly what I was looking for!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2008
I found this recipe and made it last year. My boyfriend and I had just started going out then, and I wanted to make them for him again since they were so good! It took me awhile to find them again this year but it's so worth it! I followed with other people's suggestion with the orange juice and found that that little difference was worth it. They are sticky, so I just dropped them in a little bowl of sugar. I usually add about an extra half cup of flour to help them stay a bit fluffier.

Egg Drop Soup II

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
A lot of people suggested adding sesame oil and I've had some chicken laying around that needed to be used. So I cooked up the chicken with the oil and added it after the egg and it came out really well!

Famous Japanese Restaurant-Style Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2010
Too onion-y and not quite the light dressing I get at a Japanese restaurant. Added more celery and sugar to take away some of the bite.

Meringue II

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2010
I had a hard time getting peaks to form but I think that it's probably my fault. This is the first time I've made meringue and even though it wasn't perfect, it tasted amazing!

Potato Ginger Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2010
Tried adding more of everything to try to take away some of the extreme ginger taste. Then I tried adding celery. Nothing. Maybe ginger potato soup just isn't a good idea? I don't know.

This came out amazing. I've made quite a few and they disappear so quickly, esp during the summer. Thank you!

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2011
Delicious, but a little too chocolately. The second batch I made, I used double stuff oreos and a little bit extra cream cheese and they came out perfect!

German Chocolate Cake Frosting II

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
Despite suggestions to add cornstarch, I did not. Instead, I pulled out a book and let it cook on low stirring constantly for about 45 minutes, added the pecans and coconut, and put it on. It came out the perfect thickness! Easy to do despite the time, and tastes great =]

Concord Grape Pie I

Pretty good, but a bit too solid and wow did the grape-peeling take a long time!

Butterscotch Pie I

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2011
As many reviewers commented, this pie came out a little bit sweet and runny. I even knew ahead of time about this, and tried to cook it longer. When it suddenly thickened I expected success... but it was the consistency of pudding. We all still enjoyed it though.

I tried making this several times and I couldn't get it to ever get to that soft texture. It was always very hard, but still yummy.
