About this Cook
I love to cook! I come from a Portuguese and UK background. My grandmother would spend all day in the kitchen to prepare a 6-8 course meal for our family. We would all eat as much as we could and there would still be plenty more. Besides great entree's she also loved to make lots of pie! Then when I grew up, I took over the mother hen cooking role for my immediate family. We like to eat really healthy using organic and all natural ingrediants. Bonus if it is wheat and gluten free!
My favorite things to cook
Broiled Seasoned Pork Chops, Buffalo Burgers, Pan broiled tilapia with herbs. Veggie Alfredo Rice Pasta, Cheddar Broccoli soup, Turkey Taco's ,Green Bean Casserole.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Maple Bacon Roast Turkey Thanksgiving dinner with an all nut stuffing. (low/no carb) ) All Natural Apple Sauce , Smashed Califlower ,
My cooking triumphs
Organic Thanksgiving every year.
My cooking tragedies
Lemon Merenge Pie, I have still not been able to get the whites nice and fluffy like Grandma use to make!

Julie's Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies
I found the these cookies so tasty! I did not find it runny, I actually added milk! My recipe, very similar 1 stick butter 3/4 cup brown sugar 3/4 cup white sugar 1 tbsp milk 2 tsp vanilla 2 eggs whisked together by hand. Then add 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda Added another tbsp milk. Stirred together by wooden spoon. Then add 2 cups choc chips I also added 1/2cup mini marshmellows to give this a goosy texture! It came out heavenly! 350 degree at 12 minutes

Banana Bread VIII
This is my favorite banana bread recipe to use, but I always make it even creamier using real butter instead of shortening and 1/4 cup cream cheese! Yum yum even picky eaters like this one!
