Flavorful Chicken Fried Steaks with Gravy
I really liked this recipe. It was so easy to put together and tasted really good. There was lots of gravy to put over mashed potatoes or pasta. I didn't have a package of chicken gravy but I had turkey. It still tasted good. I think this is versatile enough that you could use almost any combination of cream soup, can of gravy and package of gravy mix. I'll make sure to put chicken gravy mix on my grocery list and try it as written next time.

Chinese Cabbage Salad I
I've tried a lot of Japanese ramen salads and pretty much like them all. It's my favourite salad. Up until know I thought the recipe I was using was good but WOW this one is out of this world delicious. I substituted almonds for the cashews because that is what I had on hand. I browned them in a pan on the stovetop. Oven was full. I followed the ingredients as written the only thing i did differently was I added 1 tbsp sesame oil the first time I made it and this time I didn't change a thing other than add the seasoning from the ramen noodles. I actually think it tasted better as written so that is how I will rate it not on my changes. I did however only use 1/2 of the dressing for the package of coleslaw I had. The package was a 397 gram (14 oz) and for our taste it was plenty juicy. Thanks for this recipe which keeps this my favourite salad.

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup
I love this recipe. It is so easy to make. I have a few tomatoes left from the harvest and had to use them up so I thought I would give this a try. I cooked the tomatoes with garlic and onion and after the 20 minutes as directed I used my immersion blender. I put all of that blended concoction into a sieve and worked it until it no longer had any liquid left in it. I only had tiny tomatoes so there were a lot of seeds but if i had large tomatoes I don't think I would even put it through the sieve. I did the rest as directed. The only thing I would question is the 6 servings. We only got 2 large bowls out of this so I'm not sure how you would feed 6 with this amount. Maybe my liquid reduced too much as the tomatoes cooked. I did add some cream I had to get rid of but I don't think you need to add cream or milk. It would be delicious as is.
