Slow Cooker Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2014
I had company coming for dinner and don't want to go to the store. I had 5 cups of frozen, unsweetened sliced peaches (fresh from the farm last summer) so I didn't use berries. It was wonderful and so easy! Will be making this again and again!

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2013
I have been making this for some time and we love it. I use my slow cooker and it works great, cooking for 3 to 4 hours on high. I use Granny Smith apples even though I read somewhere that they don't make good applesauce...it my house they are wonderful!

Grandma's Chicken Chardon

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2012
Will make this again. Was a big hit with my husband. Forgot to add the parsley, but that didn't make ant difference!

Fried Green Tomatoes with Shrimp Remoulade

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2011
Love this recipe. The only change I made, because I didn't have Creole Mustard, was to use Dijon. Can't wait until next summer when I have green tomatoes again!

Horseradish Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
So easy and so tasty. I am not a huge fan of horseradish so I used about half of the amount called for. Will be making this again!

Easy Spiced Brown Rice With Corn

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Easy to make and tasted great. I didn't have any cilantro on hand so I used dried basil. I am not a fan of rice but know it is good for me, so this works for us!

Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
This was tasty and so easy. I had ham broth and cut up ham that I had cooked down and froze from a previous use. I used the ham broth in place of water and added the minced ham. Great way to use the leftover ham when you don't want to use it right away!

Roasted Pumpkins

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
And to think that for years I threw these little pumpkins away after using them for decorations. This recipe is so easy and so tasty! I shared this with a single friend and she loved it...adjusting the recipe for one pumpkin was the perfect serving for one person!

This is wonderful. I didn't have any tomato sauce so I followed the lead of other reviewers and used catsup. It left me wanting more!

I followed the recipe exactly, except I used one pound of shredded turkey that I had frozen from Christmas. Turned out great and I will be making this again.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake VII

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
My husband and I love this cake. The only changes I made is using pineapple tidbits instead of slices (I didn't have any slices the first time I made it and have just continued to use the tidbits in subsequent cakes) and I bake it in a 9x13-inch pan. I also use the juice from the pineapple in the cake mix as suggested by other reviewers. I have made it several times and it never fails to please!

Raspberry Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
My sister-in-law gave me some of her frozen raspberries. After making the cake I had some leftover so I mixed the leftover with a can of vanilla frosting. It tasted great and was very pretty. My husband and I both loved this cake and I will make it again.

Peach Cobbler II

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
This recipe is wonderful. I had to cook it a little longer but it was worth the wait. My husband and I were sorry when fresh peaches were out of season.

Chicken Pesto a la Lisa

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
This dish was wonderful. I cut back on the chicken (I used three half breasts cut into bite sized pieces) and added one pound of raw shrimp. On the advice of other reviewers, I added additional cornstarch and fresh, sliced mushrooms. I have recommended this to others and will prepare it again for my family;
