Apple Crumb Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2012
I found this to be overly sweet, and therefore if i were to make it again then i would definitely cut down on the sugar. However I added the walnuts to the topping which gave it a great crunch..

Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2011
Tasted great initially but because of the onion did not age well at all.

Greek Honey Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
My husband loves this recipe as he has a sweet tooth, but after the first cake I halved the syrup recipe with a quarter of the sugar and it is still delicious. I place the cake on a cake cooler and then pour the syrup over it so it does not soak up the excess.

Mom's Italian Beef Barley Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
This recipe is a great base, but in following other reviews added finely diced carrot, red wine, grated zucchini, garlic and a big red onion (for a sweeter flavour) this was a big hit.

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
I wasn't happy with this recipe at all, not what i would call an Italian bread.. Also oiled cling wrap need to go over the dough rather than just a damp cloth as the dough sticks to the cloth

Big Al's K.C. Bar-B-Q Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
Made this as a dipping sauce for meatballs, not sure what went the fastest, the sauce or the meatballs. Can't wait to try it on ribs.

Grandma's Gingersnap Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
I too used butter for these, my niece who was helping also dropped them back into the cinnamon sugar after baking just to give them that extra sugariness. All who tried them over Christmas loved them so will definitely make again.

Veal Scaloppini with Lemon Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
This is a delicious dish after making a few personal alterations. I personally don't like my veal crumbed so i left it nude (as it where)but the lemon sauce toppped it beautifully and made it restaurant quality. Next time i make this though i shall pound the veal though just to make it a littlemore tender.

Flan II

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
We call this recipe Creme Caramel and it is indeed the easiest dessert to make, i always add vanilla to offset the "egginess" of the custard, alternatively you can use a small amount of orange essence and a bit of grated orange rind to give it a different flavour. But anyway you look at it, this is delicious and easy to prepare and cook.
