About this Cook
I'm Mexican and love to cook and have been doing it since I was 13, start helping my mother until I ended up doing it my self. I'm now living outside my home country but I'm experiencing new tastes and get the opportunuty to share my Mexican food knowledge.
My favorite things to cook
Mexican...its what I know better, but enjoy preparing Italian, and a bit of Austrian to please my husband. Of course my top favourites are all types of desserts!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom has a great taste and makes cooking so easy...I still have a lot to learn...Thanks for all your teaching!!! My grandmother is the best, she prepares her food from the basics of the Mexican traditional cuisine. Hope she shares her recipes with me some time.
My cooking triumphs
My first "pastel imposible" (impossible cake) half chocolate cake and half FLAN it was just perfect at the firts attempt.
My cooking tragedies
Once I tried a Thai recipe, with shrimps, steamed vegetables and a "special sauce"....it went so wrong!!!!

Mexican Atole
I'm Mexican and this is almost like the ones you find in Mexico, avery body has their own changes, at home and in many places is common to addjust tiny amount of Mexican chocolate at the end, like a tbsp. Or as you said some pured fruit. Excellent!

Mexican Tinga
I'm Mexican and I have cooked Mexican food since I was 12! I love cooking Mexicand and I hav also studied the evolution of Mexican food. This recipe does not need any cinnamon as another person wrote (are you kidding me?) The recipe is quite authentic. The chipotle part it has to be added little by little until you find what is suitable for your taste buds. When I make thi at home I only use one chipotle pepper and one teaspoon of the adobo sauce. Don't rush to use the whole chipotle can, it is easier to add more than to take out.
