Rice Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2012
This was a nice alternative for when I was out of eggs. However, it was very bland. I added cinnamon but either should have added more or included something else, like nutmeg or vanilla. My fussy husband was not a fan, and it was a very heavy pancake. I do suggest frying it in butter, because the part of the batch I did with butter instead of Pam tasted better.

Super Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
Delicious and easy to make. I wanted to make sausage gravy one day but had no premade gravy or mix on hand. I am notorious for messing up recipes (by measuring incorrectly, burning, or just bad luck despite following directions) but this came out wonderfully. I didn't put in quite enough black pepper, but that is an easy fix, especially since it's salt and pepper to taste. This recipe rules! I don't know that I'll ever buy gravy again.

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

Reviewed: May 1, 2011
This recipe is simple and easy but delicious. I haven't expirimented yet, but I also think with it would be a good base for doing so. Love it!

Vegan Lemon Poppy Scones

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
Very flexible recipe if you want to customize the taste. I barely use a fraction of the amount of liquid suggested, and it still usually turns out more of a cookie than a scone. However, it is very flexible. I don't use vegan ingredients (I prefer real better to margarine and never have soy milk on hand) but I and mine enjoy the lemon poppy version as well as others like raspberry flavoring. :)

Crisp Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
The bottom of the cookies tasted slightly salty, but otherwise they were perfect. (That may have even been poor mixing on my part.) We substituted raspberry flavoring for the vanilla, and tonight we're trying it with two other flavors - almond and peppermint. :D And the flour was just right, though I thought it would be too much.
