Economical alternative to store-bought microwave popcorn and just as good if not better.

Sour Cream Chicken Paprika

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
This is a good basic recipe almost identical to ones I found in my Hungarian cookbooks. . If you want a thick gravy, stir a couple of Tbps. flour into sour cream before adding to the broth. Chicken paprika (paprikash) is a bland dish meant to be served over boiled spaetzles.

Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2010
I've been a fan of this site for several years and have used many, many of its recipes. Some have been wonderful, some not so wonderful, but this is the most disappointing recipe from "allrecipes" that I have ever made. The cake looks just like the picture and smells nice. However, that is all I can say good about it. The Jello gives an overpowering nasty, artificial taste to the cake and I regret the waste of my ingredients especially the fresh strawberries. I cannot think how this recipe can be salvaged for my family, so I will not make it again.

Deviled Eggs I

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2002
This is a nice basic recipe. I recommend a little more mayo be used and a little minced sweet pickle (to taste) be added. As for the cooking method, there's a easier way. Place the eggs in a pan and cover with at least an inch or more of cold water. Bring to a full rolling boil, remove from heat, let sit for 15 minutes, drain, and cover with ice water until thoroughly chilled. This will eliminate the ugly green/blue ring around the yolk. Proceed with the recipe.
