Slow Cooker Beef Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2012
Made this yesterday. I thought this was just okay. Had pretty good flavor but I thought it was a little too tomatoee tasting. I thing I would prefer more of a beef stock flavor. I didnt really notice any difference between using the canned veggies and the frozen ones which I normally use when I make soup. Even though I thought is was okay, I probably will not make this again as written.

Love, Love, Love this salad. I just used Ken's Rasberry Walnut Vinegerett instead of making my own dressing. So Good!!!

Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
Wow, this was absolutly the best apple crips I have ever eaten. I used 5 apples instead of 4. (3 courtlands and 2 granny smith's) also I replaced the 1/2 cup of flour with 1/2 cup of mostly flour with some instant oat meal added in to make a full 1/2 cup. Instead of dusting the apples, I placed them in a baggie with cinnamon and apple pie spice (because I didnt have any nutmeg) and completely coated them then I dumped the chopped up apples into the pie plate and followed baking directions as called for. Four of us ate this and there was hardly any left. Everyone loved it. This is so good especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. I can't wait to make again.

Chicken Potpie

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2010
This recipe was very tasty and very good. I will make it again. I cut recipe in half to just make 1 pie but it could have used a little bit more of the gravy/sauce in it. (perhaps I had more than I needed of the veggies and chicken for 1 pie)

Upside Down Pizza

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
This was excellent. My whole family loved it and its easy to prepare. I did add a pound of italian sausage crumbled and cooked with ground beef. And I put in several slices of pepperoni cut in half. Also instead of the Spaghetti sauce I use two of the samll jars of Rague pizza sauce. I did a mixture of cheese: some mozzerella, provolone and chedder. It was delicious. Will definintly be one of our regulars.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. I did make a few alterations. I went against the advice about not adding bacon and I did add some crumbled bacon because thats how I make my jalapeno poppers. I also added some chedder cheese and montery jack cheese along with the fresh parmesan cheese. I did half sourcream and half mayo instead of all mayo ( I was a little leary of using mayo) This was so yummy. I will absolutly be making this dip again.
