Delicious Vegetable Beef Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2013
The only change I made was instead of the frozen vegetables, I used some leftover corn and green beans. My husband had three helpings and drank the broth after the third helping. It was easy, I had most of the ingredients already, and it was delicious.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2013
I haven't actually made this yet but I wanted to comment on Corinne's suggestions - the sole reason I searched for a recipe like this was so that I didn't have to do all the browning and sauteeing - I wanted a good stew that could be made by throwing ingredients in the slow cooker, and this is it. The ingredients sound perfect and I'll be making it todday.

Pennsylvania Dutch Corn Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2012
This is almost exactly how my Pennsylvania Dutch grandmother made corn pie - she didn't use a bottom crust, didn't use creamed corn, and mixed some crumbled saltine crackers in with the filling. Otherwise, it's right on the nose and I love it! To me it's not bland - true flavors of corn, potatoes and eggs come through. Hearty, filling and delicious!

Kathy's Delicious Italian Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 26, 2012
I followed this recipe exactly except I didn't measure any of the ingredients but the olive oil and vinegar. I used balsamic and I thought the salad was delicious. It would be good with some of the other reviewers' additions, but I thought it was great just as it is.

Chocolate Macaroon Tunnel Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2011
I made the cake according to directions, but changed the filling according to another reviewer (coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla) and I also covered the filling with batter. I am very pleased with the outcome - not exactly like the old Pillsbury mix, but close enough for me. Also, I didn't feel it needed any glaze or icing - plenty moist and the filling makes it plenty sweet. Thanks - I'll be making this a lot - hubby loved it also!

Blackened Tilapia with Secret Hobo Spices

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
We had just had blackened tilapia at a restaurant and my husband asked me to make it at home. I followed this as written except I only had black pepper, and I didn't use the bread - didn't have any juice in the pan anyway. He loved it and said I should make all our fish this way. It was super easy and super fast!

I didn't have spinach on hand, so I made it without. My husband, who never says much about what I make, said "Wow" after his first bite - this is delicious. Thanks!

I made this exactly as instructed, except I omitted the raisins and put the nuts on top of the icing. I made it for Easter and it was a great hit - the best compliment of all - my nephew said it was better than his mom's!

Chicken Penne Italiano

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2009
I followed this according to the directions except: didn't have white wine, so didn't use it. Also I didn't measure the spices, just shook them in. It was delicious, made plenty, and was great the next day, too.
