About this Cook
I have three kids and am always daunted come 4pm. The dinner time rush - usually when the kids are cranky after a long day - is the hardest time of day for me! I dread putting together recipes and trying to cook. Learning how to cook a delicious, healthy meal for my family of five is my goal in joining this website!
My favorite things to cook
I love my slow cooker :) and also enjoy cooking muffins from scratch.
My cooking tragedies
I once burned boiled eggs. How do you catch water on fire, you might ask??? Well, I didn't actually burn the eggs I was boiling - something caught fire on the burner underneath (leftover food from one of my many roommates in college). But, the point remains that my eggs "caught fire" and I didn't live that down for awhile.

Veronica's Hot Spinach, Artichoke and Chile Dip
Perfect for my party! I used to make a simple, hot spinach dip but was looking for something different and am so glad I found this recipe! Normally, I spice things up a bit with cajun seasoning. I forgot this step while making this dip - and am so glad I did. The recipe was perfect, as is, and everyone loved it.

Thank you for posting this recipe - I never would have put the combo of bacon and tomato sauce together on my own! This was a wonderful way to use up pasta, tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes that I had on hand in the pantry. I made a half recipe and wish I would have prepared the whole thing for leftovers! After reading comments I omitted the water from the recipe and added seasoning to our taste (Season All salt and Italian seasoning). It was delicious!

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast
WOW! What a fall-apart wonderful pot roast! I read other reviews and seasoned my Boston butt roast with Montreal Steak Seasoning then added carrots and potatoes around the meat in the crock pot. I sprinkled the onion soup mix over everything then added one can of beef broth, instead of water. I put the crock in the refrigerator overnight and cooked for 8-10 hours on low the next day - delicious!
