Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Easy and very tasty. Hardest part is shredding the chicken. Will become a regular in my dinner lineup.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
On the first bite my husband gave me a thumbs up. I don't always get that immediate reaction so 5 stars it is. I did use a can of mush and a can of golden mush soup plus I doubled the wine (actually used Vermouth) as we generally like more sauce. I also added some bottled minced garlic and dried minced onion so very easy.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
I did this recipe just as written and really liked it. It was easy and quick, with basic, simple ingredients. As per many of the reviews there are many ways you could 'tweek' this with what sounds like still great results. This is a keeper for sure.

Sweet Potato Casserole I

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
This is every bit as good as everyone says but I can only give it 4 stars. First, WAY too much sugar. Half a cup is plenty. Second if you use canned sweet potatoes you don't need to cook until tender which actually is a plus. However, they do need to cook about 15-20 min longer in the oven otherwise it was too loose.

Stuffing for Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
This gets five stars just because it made my Thanksgiving that much easier :-) I used seasoned bread crumbs so did not need the extra seasoning, bonus. It turned out great, crunchy around the edges and soft and nice in the middle. Just the way we like it.

Cousin David's Slow Cooker Brisket

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
My only beef with this (pun intented) was that a beef brisket is kind of expensive and because it is so lean, mine turned out a tad dry. Next time I'll use a chuck roast. The flavor was awesome! A nice change from my standard cr of mush and dry onion soup I usually use.

Slow Cooker London Broil

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
This was just average to me. For years I have done roasts in the crockpot using cream of mushroom soup and dry onion soup mix so I was hoping the tomato soup would give this a bit more of a twist.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
Nice to find an easy and flavorful chicken recipe for the crockpot. I used four mostly frozen chicken breasts. I mixed 1 can cream of chicken and 1 can cream of celery soups with a palmful of chopped dried onions and some jarred minced garlic. Instead of water I used chicken stock to cover the chicken. I used only one can of 10ct biscuits and added them for the last hour. I cooked only 5 hrs based on other comments and was glad as it was almost too long. This could use a bit more seasoning (hence only 4 stars) overall but was a great base!

Karyn's Cream of Crab Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
Easy and rich! I made a couple of changes; I only added 2 T of Old Bay and will even use less next time. I also doubled the sherry and added some Worcestershire sauce which really made the taste pop. I used 2 cans of fancy lump crab and one can of fancy white crab which was a bit more budget friendly. The only reason I gave this four stars is I think the Old Bay was excessive. Otherwise we loved it.

Salmon with Brown Sugar Glaze

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
REALLY easy. I should have checked after 10 min as I over cooked even on Lo broil but the flavor was great. My husband is not a fan of mustard but the brown sugar mellowed it out perfectly.

Quinoa Side Dish

I gave this 5 stars because it tastes great hot or cold. I used beef broth because I was serving with lamb, it was great! The next day we ate it cold and I added feta, loved it! A very versitle dish.

Easy and tasty too! I was tired and wanted to just throw something together. This made the mark and I will do it again. A great find. I used Costco Mahi Mahi and dried ginger.

We are new to cooking with venison and have been looking for ways to use the minute steaks. This worked VERY well. It was easy and wonderful. Made it last week and am doing it again today.
