Devil's Steak Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2014
I made the recipe as it is. I must say this is very sweet. It tasted so good and I feel it lends itself better for lamb, pork and chicken. I prefer a more savory sauce for beef. It really is a great sauce and that's why I rate it a 5. Also, I would also try other jams as other reviews suggest. I will make this again but for pork and chicken.

Classic Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2013
I had high hopes for the receipe based on all the great reviews. I found is horribly too sweet. I wished I would have read more of the reviews regarding this. I will try it again with only half, maybe less, than the amount of sugar called for.

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
Was ok. I personally like the recipe on the back of the San Giorgio Fettuccine box. I've been making it for years. I think the balance of butter, cheese and cream is perfect. This recipe is close to the same ingredients but I really like the balance of the San Giorgio recipe. Sometimes I'll thrown in some garlic, sauteed mushrooms, shrimp or chicken.

Cranberry Sauce I

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
I have been making standard cranberry sauce for years. A package of cranberries, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water. This is good. BUT take the advice of the other reviewers and use brown sugar and adjust the oj to your liking. The brown sugar and oj adds much depth to the flavor. I will ALWAYS use brown sugar and oj from now one. Fabulous.

Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi

Reviewed: May 2, 2009
This recipe is fantastic. Just the right blend of ingredients. I followed the recipe just as it is and will make this again. I make something very similar with the exception of the balsamic vinegar and ginger. I love how the balsamic vinegar and ginger round out the flavors of the other ingredients and provides depth to the total flavor. I would have given it more stars but 5 is the limit.

Baked Salmon Fillets Dijon

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2009
I was sceptical as I usually only make salmon with a honey soy glaze b/c that is what the family likes and requests. I wasn't sure how the mustard would taste but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. What I did in order to mellow the mustard was to subsitute the dijon with a honey dijon as some of the other reviews suggested. It wasn't too sweet and blended nicely. The entire family loved it. Now I do not have young children they are late teens/young adults. I don't think I would have tried this recipe in earlier days. This is a keeper.

Garlic Cheese Chicken Rollups

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
This recipe was GREAT. I took some suggestions from the other reviews. Many claim you do not need the amount of bread crumbs suggested. I cut back 1/2 and still had too many. That would be the combination of bread crumbs and parm cheese. Also, I added some slices of shaved ham, onlyh b/c I had it in the frig. You can make this ahead. DO NOT dip in the butter and crumb mixture until the next day. What I did was to fill them, roll them up, cover, refrigerate. Next day, dip them in butter and bread crumb mixture. Bake at 25-30 mins. 35 min. is too long as they need to sit for a few minutes and will cook a little longer while sitting. I will make this again!!!

Super Short Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
This recipe is amazing. Just the right blend of ingredients. It comes out so tender and flavorful. I serve it with rice or egg noodles as the sauce is so yummy AND you have plenty of it. It's not too runny or thick - just the right consistancy. I have made this dish 4-5 times and followed the recipe to a T. It is just wonderful. I just needed to add...after looking at many of the "other" short rib recipes this one seems to have the fewest ingredients and least amount of prep. In my opinion if you can get the best out of less - go for it.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
This recipe is by far the best one and the easiest one. Like many of the others I used a Boson Butt. It's much cheaper and extremely flavorful. I threw a 6-7 lb. butt in the crock pot with 2 cans of beef broth early evening and by morning (12 hrs later) it was done. The meat was so moist and tender it was already off the bone. What's so nice about this recipe is you can use whatever sauce you would like as there are so many different kinds of bbq sauces out there. I have made this recipe 3 times in the last several months and everyone just loves it.

Bagel and Cheese Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
This was fantastic. My favorite egg bake dish so far as there was a good balance as far as quanities between the amount of eggs and bread. I will always make ths one from now one. I didn't use onions as my husband doesn't like them. Although I was ready to sneak them in until my husband saw the onion on the counter. Used a pound of bacon, which didn't seem like too much. The bacon gave it a great flavor and I didn't miss the onions at all. Baked for 20 min. Perfect!!

Scrambled Egg Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
These are tasty and easy to make. Not great but good. These do cook quickly and I would only cook for 15 min. next time. In addition I will try adding milk to the egg mixture as the egg muffin was very dense. Even denser when reheated the next day.

Campbell's® Easy Chicken and Cheese Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2008
This was the first time for me making enchiladas. Easy recipe and they tasted very good. I followed the recipe ingredients to be fare. I doubled the recipe and baked them seam side down. After assembling the enchiladas I found I didn't need ALL the extra sauce to cover them before baking. The last 10 min. of baking I topped them with shredded cheese as I LOVE CHEESE. Now, I prefer my food spicey and this is not all that spicey, but palatable for the average person. Half the people in the family prefer spicey, the other half not as much. I just put out various hot sauces on the table for those that needed an extra kick. I will make this recipe again.
