About this Cook
I rate myself as a fair cook. I have only cooked for my family. This past Christmas I surprised everyone with sweet bread made from scratch. and white chocolate covered jumbo pretzel sticks.
My favorite things to cook
I don't eat seafood but I really am itching to try some recipes out and test them on my family(without tasting it myself)wish me luck on that. I like baking breads- I do not have a bread maker but I want one.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom and I cook every Thanksgiving and Christmas. The food turns out great I make homemade bread rolls, Mashed potatoes, Potato Salad, Ham, Turkey, Stuffing, ETC.
My cooking triumphs
Everyone raved when I cooked the following: French Dip with aju sauce, french bread rolls, buttery soft pretzels, Easy pizza crust, Browned buttered veggies, onion soup mix chicken, etc. Onion Smothered pork tenderloin (to be posted later)
My cooking tragedies
So far I had 2 cooking tragedies. 1. I attempted to make "puto" a type of Filipino treat that is steamed and has cheddar cheese. It was cake like and did not taste good. 2. Grandma oples apple pie. I was lazy and decided to buy the pie crust from the store. Yet I made the apples & filling from scratch. The filling was excellent the pie crust was horrible. I will make it better next time!!

Frosted Grapes
This was simple, but great. I washed and dried the grapes before adding the jello and then froze them. the kids loved it.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Sushi Rolls
This was a fun and easy recipe that my kids could actually do on their own. I only helped by cutting the crusts and the rolls. My niece wants this to be a dish at her next birthday party.
