Caramel-Pecan Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
the caramel sunk into the lower layer and became a sticky mass. If I make this again, I'll melt a layer of chocolate chips and coat the bottom layer before adding the caramel so that it has a distinctive boundary. The flavor was good, though

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2010
Fantastic! I did a simplified version, broiling the lamb in a glass dish (approx. 4 min/side) and then, upon removal, simply adding a bit of balsamic vinegar to the pan while it was still really hot - it cooked down almost immediately and was just right.

The Best Double Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
These cookies really are the best - I make them all the time! This last time, I put in 8 oz. choc chips and 6 oz. butterscotch chips - and WOW! These cookies were gone in a heartbeat.

French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
Great base recipe! I made this without the red wine, Worcestershire sauce, thyme or rosemary but instead with sauteed garlic and ginger, Ezekiel bread for the toast, and a Danish blue cheese. Will be adding this to the regular rotation.

Thai Pork with Peanut Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
Great base recipe! I followed the suggestions of other reviewers and cut the pork into small pieces, then used a zip-lock bag to shake the pork and spices. Served with rice noodles which were briefly stir-fried in with the pork. With the sauce, I added a bit more peanut butter and some freshly ground pepper. Thanks, JDOERINGPA!
