Broccoli and Cheese Brunch Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2014
This will now be my go-to recipe for brunches! So delicious, perfectly moist but not soggy, lots of flavor, so easy. I used sour cream instead of ricotta, garlic salt, and I omitted the tomatoes. Baked 35 min covered and probably another 25 to 30 uncovered. Tip: I just put the broccoli in frozen!

Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2014
I made a couple changes, but these were AMAZING. I used one stick butter and 1/3 to 1/2 cup vegetable oil. Also used 1 cup white sugar and 1/4 cup packed brown sugar. I only had a half bag of Reese's peanut butter chips. Wow, these cookies are moist and chewy, even after cooling. Not too flat, just right. Will definitely be making them again.

Easy Turkey Taco Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2013
I am so happy with how this soup turned out! Super fast, tasty and hearty. I followed the directions except I used black beans. With the green chili rotel, it had plenty spice for me but the hubs added hot sauce. We put shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream and tortilla chips on top. All ingredients I usually have on hand so I'll be making this again for sure!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2012
Wow! Delicious and very easy! I cut the recipe in half. I knew I'd be throwing it in the crock pot before work, so I mixed the liquids together the night before. Substituted honey mustard dressing for the Italian, added 1/4 cup chopped onions and clove of garlic. Because I am paranoid about leaving the crock pot on all day while I'm gone, I added some chicken broth. It turned out PERFECT, not watery at all. Served on ciabatta bread.

Chicken and Broccoli Braid

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2012
Made this for the first time and the hubby and i both LOVED it. Substituted yellow bell peppers for red, pecans for almonds, omitted the onions and doubled the garlic. Did everything else by the recipe. Next time I will use half the dill weed and add parsley. This recipe could be done so many different ways! Glad to have another go-to easy recipe.

Jackie's Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2012
DELICIOUS & FLAVORFUL! I used turkey sausage and added chopped carrots, leftover penne pasta and garlic salt. I would have added zucchini but it was it was a bit moldy. Omitted chopped garlic and spinach. Used yellow bell pepper instead of green. This was so good that I would serve it for company.

Cream of Broccoli Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2010
AMAZING. Just as good if not better than Panera's broccoli cheese soup. Creamy, cheesy and delicious. I used one can of chicken broth, 1 1/4 cup milk, 1 stalk celery, 1/4 of an onion, celery salt, salt and pepper, frozen broccoli (heated in microwave for 3 minutes), and just sharp cheddar cheese. Also, I didn't have cornstarch so I looked up the substitute and used 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour.

Hobo Beef and Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
This is a great soup but I might make some changes next time I make it. I used sweet potatoes instead of regular, but the soup was too sweet. Also, there wasn't a whole lot of flavor. I will add more herbs next time.

Lower Fat Banana Bread II

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
I made this almost exactly to the recipe and it was AMAZING! BEST banana bread I've ever made. I used chunky applesauce, left out the walnuts b/c I didn't have any, and I used 3 ripe bananas. SO very good! I will be using this recipe from now on.

Chunky Tomato Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
I wasn't sure how this would come out, but it was excellent! Only changes: I cooked the onions in olive oil, and added parsley flakes, garlic salt, celery salt, and oregano. I did everything else exactly as the recipe called for, and I will definitely be making it again. So easy but such an awesome twist on regular tomato soup. Thanks for the recipe!

Triple Layer Cookie Bars by EAGLE BRAND®

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
These are ridiculously good. They were so easy to make but pack an amazing taste and look fancy. Eventually I had to take them to work to get them out of the house so I wouldn't eat them all!

Wilted Spinach with Cherries and Goat Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
This was very good! I didn't have cherries so I used dried cranberries, and omitted the mushrooms. Also had no goat cheese so used feta. My husband didn't like the "hot salad" so much but I loved it!

Mama's Best Ever Spaghetti and Meatballs

I made these per request of my husband. I've never had meatballs much and this was my first time to make them. We were very pleased! They saved well and we kept eating them throughout the week.

Carrot Cake XI

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
I'm giving the 4 out of 5 only because I followed some of the reviewers suggestions and did not have the turn out I wanted. I used 1 cup of applesauce and 1/3 cup oil instead and I found the cake to be a bit too dry. I also used only 1 cup of sugar and didn't think the cake was sweet enough. It was more like a sweet bread than a cake. Will may again and follow the directions exactly to see what happens.

Quick and Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
This was my first tuna casserole and it was very easy to make. My changes: I used an 8 oz. package of egg noodles, 1 1/2 - 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, garlic salt, and 1 1/2 cans of cream of mushroom soup. Also, I used a 1/4 of an onion (hubby doesn't like them), and 2 cloves of diced garlic. I cooked the onion and garlic in oil before adding to the mix. Overall, this was very good. Next time I might use less tuna.

Turkey Wraps

This is a very good wrap. I left out the avocado because we don't like it, and used pre-cooked turkey bacon. We like the unique taste with the cream cheese. Thanks for a good recipe!

Bachelor's Creamy Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
This was a really great soup! My husband absolutely LOVED it. I wanted it to be a bit sweeter than it was, so I added brown sugar (maybe 1 tbs), cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and 1 tbs sugar. I did not use ginger because I didn't have any. I served this with hot french bread and butter and it was delicious. Perfect for a cool, fall evening. :) Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

Pork Chops with Apples, Onions, and Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
WOW! This was DELICIOUS! This is definitely one of my new favorites. After reading the reviews, I made just a few changes. Before placing the pork loins in the dish, I put about a 1/4 cup of water in the bottom to make sure they didn't dry out. I added garlic salt to the pork loins, and sprinkled cinnamon on top of all the ingredients before putting in the oven. I didn't see that the apples were supposed to be cut in rounds until I had already cut them all into slices. This worked just fine. I cooked this is glass cookware and used aluminum foil with holes poked in it for the cover. This was so easy and came out so great! I will make it again and again. Next time I will try it in a slow cooker!
