Lime Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
LAWREY'S MESQUITE AND LIME MARINADE IS AVAILABLE AT MOST GROCERY STORES. THEIR TERIYAKI AND PINEAPPLE JUICE MARINADE MAKES CHICKEN LIVERS TO DIE FOR.

Slow Cooker Venison Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
This recipe is hard to beat and hard to mess up! We have it often. I like to marinate my venison overnight in red wine, vinegar & oil dressing and Adolph's tenderizer. Sometimes I don't even brown the meat first, just toss it all in with a couple of beef bullion cubes. If you add cut up potatoes, corn, and baby lima beans you've got Brunswick Stew! A dash of A-1 Sauce really kicks it up a knotch~:)

Cheesy Baked Onions

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
This was so good, it didn't make to the table. We had it for a Sunday afternoon snack. I doubled the recipe, except for the flour and added freshly cracked black pepper to the onions before adding the sauce. I also added 1 Tbs sour cream, and sprinkled extra salt on top as soon as it came out of the oven. A good roux is not difficult, once you get the hang of it!

Bum's Lunch

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
I sprinkle my cube steak with Adolph's meat tenderizer, so it's never tough! In this recipe, I used a little butter instead of marg. It's great, we have it once a week~:)

Feta and Olive Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! I USED ONE EGG AND ADDED 1/4tsp ROASTED GARLIC. I USED FRESHLY DRIED PARSLEY, OREGANO, DASH OF OLD BAY AND CRACKED BLACK PEPPER. I ALSO USED GREEN OLIVES STUFFED W/PIMENTO & SERVED WITH CUCUMBER RANCH DRESSING THAT I HAD ON HAND. I COOKED THEM IN A FRYING PAN AND DRAINED WELL. I WAS GOING TO SERVE THEM IN ROMAINE AS A WRAP, BUT MY BRITISH RAISED HUSBAND ATE THEM ALL! I LOVE SHEPHERD'S PIE, BUT THIS IS DEFINITLY THE BEST GROUND LAMB RECIPE MY HUSBAND & I HAVE EVER TASTED!!!

London Broil II

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
FANTASTIC MARINADE! NEX TIME I'LL USE LEMON JUICE TO HELP TENDERIZE THE LONDON BROIL, EVEN THOUGH I SUBSTITUTED ADOLPH'S FOR SALT. I'LL PROBABLY USE CHARCOAL GRILL, NOT GAS, TOO.

Lima and Navy Bean and Ham Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
WONDERFUL SPICE AND HERB FLAVOUR!!!I WENT WITH WHAT I HAD ON HAND, AND IT STILL TURNED OUT GREAT! I BROWNED REGULAR SAUSAGE IN BEANO'S SUB DRESSING & GARLIC, USED CANNELLINI (DRIED) & BLACK BEANS (CANNED AND ADDED IN LAST HOUR OF COOKING), DRIED PEPPER FLAKES INSTEAD OF CAYENNE AND PROGRESSO HEARTY TOMATO SOUP (OUT OF CANNED TOMATOES, AGAIN!). INSTEAD OF CHICKEN BULLION OR BROTH, I USED FROZEN DUCK BROTH,,,NO FAT AND I DIDN'T NEED SALT! I REALLY ENJOYED PICKING ALL THE HERBS FRESH FROM MY HERB GARDENS! I USED THAI BASIL INSTEAD OF REGULAR AND TOSSED IN SOME OREGANO, TOO. BEFORE SERVING, I ADDED CHUNKS OF PEPPERJACK AND COLBY. GOOEY GOODNESS! INSTEAD, I GUESS I SHOULD CALL IT "SPICY SAUSAGE AND WHITE AND BLACK BEAN SOUP", BUT WHATEVER YOU CALL IT, IT'S STILL AWESOME!!!
