Sweet and Sour Chicken Stir Fry

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
Excellent. Followed recipe to the letter and served over hot white rice. It was a crowd pleaser. The only bad thing and it was my fault, I might have added the zucchini too early because it turned out kindda slimy...but still delicious.

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken with Bok Choy

Very good; lessen the apple cider vinegar to only a 1/2 cup.

Apple Dump Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
Very simple. A light and basic desert after dinner. The only reason I give it 3 stars because the recipe neglects to say prepare muffin mix according directions on the box first, and then pour over apple pie filling. I prepared the mix, but on the other hand I normally follow recipes to the letter and could see myself pouring the dry muffin mix over the apple pie filling and baking it. LOL.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2008
Great recipe! Very flexible. I added diced green bell peppers and portabella mushrooms to mine. For anyone saying that the sauce is runny, you are probably pouring the mixture over the pasta when you actually have to pour the mixture into the pot of boiled pasta and let it sit over a low flame for a minute so that the pasta can absorb the mixture.

Chicken Chow Mein (West Indian Style)

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2014
I really enjoyed this recipe. I enjoyed the taste of the fresh ginger root although I used a standard potato peeler to peel it into really thin strips that get absorbed really well during cooking. I gave this recipe 4 stars because the first time I made it I felt that it needed a little something more. Then someone recommended I add 3 tablespoons of "Iron Chef" General Tso's sauce - I added this when stir frying the chicken and the veggies together and it was divine! You can find the Iron Chef sauce series at any grocery store.

Carol's Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
Scrumptious and very easy to make. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I added additional ingredients that made it taste even better. (a splash of the juice the dill comes in)

Chicken Marsala Florentine

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
I just tried this recipe last night and it was simply scrumptious. Based on other reviews, I doubled the amount of spinach and portabella. Since some reviews mentioned the recipe was a lil on the bland side, I added a dash of paprika and extra oregano and black pepper, served over a bed of white rice and it was simply delish!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
Not sure what I did wrong here. Followed the recipe exactly. I tried making this for Thanksgiving and it came out "okay" except for the acutal pumpkin layer that was surprisingly light in color and almost too liquid/creamy. Had to bake for an additional 15 mins as it was still too runny.
