Glazed Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2008
this was okay; I had to change onions to onion powder b/c my husband doesn't like pieces of onions in his food. But I did everything else. I thought it tasted somewhat bland compared to how I usually make it which has alot of other seasonings for flavor.

Souvlaki

This was a recipe my whole family loved. The only thing we did differently was we did not add the vegies b/c I have some picky eaters. Was quick and easy and tasted great and tender.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
I thought these cookies were really chocolatey! I used mini peanut butter cups as suggested and baked for 11 mins. at 350. My husband thought they were to sweet and to much chocolate.

Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
this was an okay dish. Left out bell peppers due to family doesn't like them. was exspecting to taste like chinese sweet and sour pork and nothng like it. My husband didn't think it wasn't bad it was edible. We couldn't figure out there is one ingredient that overpowers the taste but we couldn't put our finger on it. Did like the minced pinapple in it though.

Classic Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
My family loved these! Great snack/dessert/ or breakfast. I used applesause instead of oil. Also, I would like to try carrots instead of rasins but don't know how to get them shaved so thin and fine like the ones I've had from bakery. Any suggestions?

Abby's Chicken Rollatini

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
This dish was not bad but I would suggest to SAUTE the garlic first. I followed the recipe and the uncooked garlic was very bitter and over powering once you got to the garlic we couln't even eat it had to pick around bits and pieces that had no garlic and not much over powering. Think would of been alot better if garlic was suated and then added.

My family loved this one and decided it got an 8(would of gotten a 10 but I had the layers to thick and only used 6 tortialls due to pan size)-definitely do the 12. Didn't change a thing perfect!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
Just made it last night and loved it! I thought it tasted just as great if not better than the packet you buy to make the seasoning. Did due some modifications as suggested: salt and pepper to taste, garlic, powder onion, and 1/2 pk onion soup mix(which I accidentally dumped all in)still tasted great. Double the meat and the sauce but keep cream cheese the same and worcestshire same. Then also add a good dollop of sourcream with the cream cheese. Loved it

Best Beef Dip Ever

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
We loved this recipe. I thought it was the best I have ever had and better than any resturant. The only changes I did was as suggested: substitute 5 cups beef broth for 5 cups water and add 1 cup water. I also a couple hours before serving took the roast out and cut into deli thin slices( took about 45 mins. but well worth it) and then put back into pot to continue cooking for at least 1-2 hours. Make the beef juicy and tender. I baked some steak rolls in the oven open with provlone cheese first and then we added meat. Found the next day meat became more tender and juicy.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
My family loved this espically my husband who thinks it is better than any resturants. The only modifications I did was suggested by other users: 1/4 tsp. pepper, 14 1/2 oz. low sodium chicken broth, 1/4 tsp. onion powder, subsituted milk for wataer, couple of hours before surving take chicken out and shredd/cube and put back into pot, then a 16 oz. can of biscuts which I rolled out as suggested into pancakes-cut into strips and then stirred into mixture to get fully coated with liquids. Then about 10 mins later I served perfect!!!
