Easy Cheese Ball II

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
OH my WORD- this cheese ball was a big hit with dear hubby! ;) I did take everyone's advice and added bacon, but my man doesn't care for bacon so he would have rather had it without. Maybe next time I'll try grated cheese, green pepppers, and onions to roll in it. This recipe definitely tastes better once it is set, so I would recommend making it the night before. I also added some sour cream to give it a better texture, not too much...just enough for it to stick together- it was a bit crumbly! I also added diced onion, which gave it a little oomph! We don't like nuts, but I'm sure it tastes good for people who do! This truly is the best cheese ball!

Ground Beef Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
This is very tasty! The only thing I did was replace the tomatoes with a can of cream of mushroom soup, and added some corn on top of the ground beef mixture, with potatoes on top. Delicious!

Easy Swedish Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
With a few impro's, these become Dutch pancakes! I make the pancakes following the recipe, but the dutch thing is to throw in slices of cooked sausage in the batter when it is cooking in the pan. Serve with maple syrup- delicious! My grandma made them all the time!

Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
Great recipe, but I changed some things. I mixed the cream of mushroom soup with corn instead of mixed veggies, and I didn't mix potatoes with it. Instead I made real potatoes and spread over all. Last few minutes of baking time I sprinkled with shredded cheese.

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
Amazing! When I found this recipe here, I wanted to try it. My husband grew up on the bought honey ham from the store, and he was a little wary of this. No more! Now he brags to everyone about how I make a honey ham better than you can get from the grocers! Everyone who has tried it has absolutely love this ham, look no more for a better recipe! I cooked mine in the slow cooker on low, so it was nice and moist. However, next time I will put skewers in it, because since it was scored, the front piece fell over and became hard since it was it the glaze the whole time. I lined the slow-cooker with foil, (generously), sprayed it with pam, so clean up was a snap! I kept the glaze warm on the stove top...I didn't use a double boiler, but I sprayed the pot with veg. oil, melted the butter first- clean up wasn't a problem. I'm making this for Thanksgiving and Christmas every year!
