About this Cook
I am a wife and mother of two teen-age boys. Reading and sewing is my passion.
My favorite things to cook
Anything that is quick or easy. I use my crockpot a lot.
My cooking tragedies
My only cooking tragedy is bisquits. I seem to ALWAYS burn the bottoms. It's sort of a family tradition at holiday time.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast
I just want to say that yes, you need to use Chuck Roast, and other than any spices you want to add, all I have ever done to have a perfect roast is to put the roast in the crockpot WITHOUT browning, and I don't add vegy's to the pot. This way, you don't need to add any liquid. I add the onion soup mix and maybe some extra onions, but that's it. Very basic. I cook it on high for four to five hours. DONE! It just falls it, love it, love it!

Kielbasa with Peppers and Potatoes
I make this all the time with kielbasa when there's nothing else to make for dinner. Instead of using oil, just put the kielbasa in the pan first, it makes it's own grease, then throw in the potatoes and peppers. I also put in onion and some garlic salt.
