About this Cook
4 kids. writer
My favorite things to cook
The things my dad used to cook for me (his spaghetti sauce and chicken noodle soup wih homemade noodles), tortillas, salsas, bacon, anything with bacon, and onions when they smell up my house when I'm simmering them.
My favorite family cooking traditions
fresh homemade tortillas and pinto beans (yes as a meal). I can't eat store bought tortillas. It's a daily activity to roll tortillas with my kids.
My cooking triumphs
My version of New Mexican Green Chili my grandma used to make. Mastering my own perfect pot roast. The best taco night a person could ask for. Fresh tortillas (flour and Corn) and fresh corn chips.
My cooking tragedies
I have burned the crud out of food and myself. Baking is not my strong suit. Still haven't mastered my perfect mac and cheese. It needs tweaking.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting
Turned out great for my daughters choc cake. Wasn't heavy and had a great cream cheese flavor. Folowed some of the suggestions in the reviews and they were very helpful. Thanks!

Chocolate Trifle
great idea and simple! I peronalized it with fresh whip cream, caramel, and toffee. My 4 year old daughter helped the whole way and had a blast making it. Was a hit with all the teenagers and kids at thanksgiving!
