Crab Legs with Garlic Butter Sauce

I'm giving this five stars because the flavor was wonderful. I'll never make it again tho. It was much too messy!! Crab legs are messy enough without coating them in butter! I will make the herbed butter again and use it to dip the crab meat in. Thanks for a great recipe to enhance the taste of one of my favorite foods. Hubby loved it, but also thought it was too messy.

Raspberry Chocolate Tassies

I took a chance and doubled the recipe for a big party without trying it first. It was a good call on my part. I had to print 7 copies of the recipe and all 60 of them were gone! Do NOT change a thing!!!

Vintage Lemonade

Scrumptious! Just like down south. For the reviewers who said it was bitter, try not getting any of the white part of the peel. Only the outside yellow. The sugar pulls the oils and flavor right out of the rind. Thanks for a great recipe!

Salisbury Steak with Mushrooms

Very easy to make and great comfort food! Make sure you use good broth or beef stock for a meaty flavor. I followed the recipe exactly and hubby loved it. I always make the recipe as written before I add my own touches. I might throw in some green bell pepper next time, but it doesn't really need a thing. Thanks for this great recipe that has no "cream of" soup. YUCK!

Cheese and Bacon Potato Rounds

Made these tonight as a side to filet. Yummy! I did cheat and use Hormel real crumbled bacon. Otherwise followed exactly. Soft on the inside and brown and crispy on the outside! Thank you! I'm going to make a giant tray of these the next time I have people over for football!!!

How to Make Tomato Bisque

I've tried this twice now and I hate to say anything bad about a Chef John recipe, but the garlic, onion, flavor is much too overpowering and I love both. The second time I cut it back and it was still overpowering. I still have a recipe box full of Chef John recipes, this one just wasn't for us.

Easy Red Pepper Hummus

This is awesome and easy to make. One suggestion, do not add the water until the very last. If at all. I must have had an especially juicy pepper because my first try was yummy, but very thin. The next time I made it with no water at all and the consistency was perfect. Thanks for the recipe.

Tomato and Mozzarella Bites

I made these for a cookout last weekend and they were devoured. I sprinkled course sea salt on the dish and then arranged the skewers on top of the salt. Then I drizzled the dipping sauce over the entire plate. These are so delish! I'm making them again this weekend for a baby shower. Don't skimp on the good mozarella! It's worth it! Thanks for the great recipe.

Classic Rice Pilaf

Perfect! The first time I made it i followed the directions exactly except for cutting it in half as it was just for hubby and me. Made it again tonight with Jasmine rice. I thought it was even better because of the fragrance. After making the World's Best Lasagna I'm trying all of your recipes. Thanks, this is now my go to for rice.

Sauerkraut-Stuffed Slow-Cooked Pork Roast

The flavor was amazing but the ratio was terrible. I used fresh kraut from our local butcher and a little over 3 pound pork loin. There wasn't nearly enough sauer kraut for 6 people. Imagine dividing a 14 ounce can of green beans between 6 people...........9 hours on high in a crock pot is way over cooked. I did 6 on medium and it was falling apart tender. That could be a crock pot issue, but I think 9 hours on high in a crock pot is too much for anything unless you're cooking and entire pig.

Pumpkin Bars V

Easy to make and everyone raved about it. I don't care for cookies, bars or cakes myself so I have to depend on the ratings of others. Everyone I served it to says 5 STARS!!! I didn't change one thing as I find that very rude unless you've made it following the recipe and THEN found a need to change it. I thought the combo of chocolate chips with the pumpkin seemed off, but I was told it was a very nice surprise. Thanks for a great recipe!!! I'm making it again this weekend for tailgating on Sunday!

Cajun Chicken Pasta

This is amazing. First few times I made it exactly as written. I've also made it with scallops and shrimp. I have used milk if I didn't have cream and it's still good. I also sometimes melt some of the freshly grated parm into the sauce. So basically you don't need to change a thing, it's wonderful. That being said it is also a great recipe to change up with seafood. Thanks for a great recipe!!!!

Apple Pie

The only change I made was omitting the ginger, simply because I was out of ginger and too lazy to go buy some. Excellent recipe. Everyone loves it and it smells amazing while it's baking. Thanks for the awesome recipe, just like my Grandma used to make. I'd give it 100 stars if I could

Tainted Fruit Shots

I made over a hundered of these for tailgating a few weeks ago and they were gone! For this weeks game I made orange jello with vanilla vodka, like a cremesicle (sp?) and lemon jello with bacardi limon. Of course I added some red food coloring to the lemon jello, so it's our team color and not yellow. Perfect proportions! Solo makes the perfect sized cup that comes with lids for easy transporting to the game. Thanks for an awesome recipe!!!

Pierogi Casserole

This was de-lish! I did add sauer kraut, which I won't do again, because it took away from the potato flavor. I also used the Barilla no-cook noodles as suggested by another review, next time I'll use regular as the recipe called for, the no-ccok noodles were too thin for us. Just shows you should stick to the recipe for the first time, and then tweak if you want to. Thanks for the recipe, can't wait to make it exactly as you submitted it!!! ;)
