Outrageous Caesar Salad
Holy mother, the fishy taste from the anchovies was powerful. I had to increase the recipe just to tone it down a bit. I followed the recipe to a T... but then had to start guessing with ingredients to tone down the fish. (added an extra egg and LOTS of extra lemon juice to offset the taste). Once I did all this it was actually pretty darn tasty! Next time I'll follow the recipe exactly but add in a few filets at a time instead of the whole contents of the tin.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers
This was SUCH a great recipe! I followed the recipe exactly, except for a few things. As others suggested, I rinsed the beans thoroughly and dried them with a paper towel. I added about 1/3 a can of corn, and used red pepper instead of green. I used my Slap Chop to do the onions and red pepper and this worked SO well. Before I added the red pepper, I squeezed them of their juices. you must eliminate as much water as you can. From doing this, I found I only needed 1 egg - others mentioned they needed 2. I formed the patties and put them in the freezer for about an hour to make handling easier. I grilled them on the BBQ on tin foil as suggested - worked great, even had grill marks like real burgers. Instead of using ketcup and mustard and regular burger toppings, I used homemade guacamole (I figured this would go since the burgers have a bit of a tex mex flavour). The guac really made it! SO GOOD!!! I also served the burgers on those new whole grain thin buns. Was delish. Thanks for such an awesome recipe! I'm not a vegetarian... but this will definitely be a staple in my house!
