Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
wow. this was DELICIOUS! i made everything pretty much like the recipe except sauteed the chicken in some butter instead of boiling it and i didn't have celery seed so i eyeballed 1/2 tsp of celery salt and omitted the salt the recipe called for. definately going in my regular rotation and relatively easy to make! the hardest part is waiting for it to be done :)

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
this is the only banana bread recipe i'll ever make again!! it was so easy and so moist. I made it with the intention of bringing some to work to share, but it never made it out of the house. Dee-lish. I added chocolate chips of course, because banana bread is not banana bread with out chocolate chips!

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
when i make soup, i like to make LOADS and i like my soup super chunky! So i used this recipe as a guide. I sauteed one and a half medium chopped onion and a couple cloves of garlic. Used two whole celery hearts, a whole bag of carrots, two thirty-something ounce boxes of chicken broth and one thirty-something ounce veg. broth, a whole rotisserie chicken hand shredded and almost a whole bag of egg noodles. Seasoned as suggested in the recipe. Sounds like a lot but it made a super hearty soup that lasted me, my sister, and boyfriend DAYS!! Really yummy and great for a cold day. definitely a keeper, thanks!

Best Ever Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
i tried this recipe twice. once with chocolate chips and the second time with chedder and herbs. i did exactly what the recipe said and they looked delicious but much to my dismay, both times they were dry! i will have to find some way to tweek it, perhaps add more milk or oil? I wanted so badly for them to be as tasty as they looked but they just weren't. no one else seemd to have had this problem, what am i doing wrong???

Pasta Shells with Portobello Mushrooms and Asparagus in Boursin Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
this was super easy and didn't take long at all. i did make a few alterations to make it more to my taste. i sauteed a chopped onion with some garlic before adding the mushrooms (onion + garlic always equals delicious). I added one additional large mushroom cap and used one container of 6.5 ounce alouette garlic and herb cheese because i couldn't find the boursin cheese in the size requested in the recipe. The sauce did seem a bit thin, but after i mixed in the pasta it thickened nicely and was delicious!! Everyone love it and this recipe is definitely a keeper.
