About this Cook
I love cooking up food that stirs the emotions. There's nothing better than getting a group of people together over good food and laughing the night away! It's the best!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking soups, healthy dishes that pack amazing flavor, italian dishes, mexican dishes, (I'm also looking into French recipes), and every once in a while I'll get the urge to do some baking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking traditions include cooking Thanksgiving dinner with my mom while watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I also love getting together with her to bake up Christmas goodies that we share with everyone we know.
My cooking triumphs
I've created an amazing onion soup that leaves parents and parents-in-law asking for more!
My cooking tragedies
I tried making cheese cake...they nicknamed it curdled milk cake...granted, I had the toughest audience possible - New Yorkers! I'm also known for banana nut bricks and cream of mortar (made within 24 hours of each other no less! and no...not on purpose!). Hence, "occasional" baking.

Creamy Hot Cocoa
I've tried several basic cocoa recipes in the past week, including the one from the side of the cocoa container, and this one is the best so far. A great starting point to get creative with or good just like it is.

Apple Crisp II
This was okay. It was way too sweet for our taste. The sugars overwhelmed the flavor of the apples. I loved the oatmeal in the topping. I would make it again but use half the sugar.

Spooky Witches Fingers
Pretty good. I added green coloring to the dough and strawberry preserves beneath the almond before baking, which gave it a yummy flavor. But, I had a difficult time making them keep their shape. But, they were close enough. We still had fun with them and everyone enjoyed them.
