Red Pepper-Salmon Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2013
I saw so many five stars and I liked the ingredients so I figured this would be a hit. I followed the recipe to a tee and was disappointed. It just didn't have much flavor. My husband who is really good with flavors said it didn't blend well with the salmon. He also said, and I quote, "that was unsatisfying".

Potato Pesto Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2012
Wasn't sure what to think of this since I was the first one to rate it. This was actually really good! I followed the recipe pretty much exactly (I did form it into a circle instead of the square) and really enjoyed the pesto flavor. I made sure the potatoes were real thin so they softened, and the added onions on top really added to the flavor. Yum!

Pepperoni Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
Fabulous. It's a great recipe because you can mix it up how you want. The first one I made I added some colby jack cheese but kept to the rest. The second one I made, I added green peppers to. I'd like to try it with some spinach and pesto sometime. Yum!

Hearty Halibut Chowder

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
YUM! We had gotten some halibut from a friend who had come some in Alaska. Wasn't sure what to do with it but a chowder sounded good. This was delicious. I followed the recipe to a T, maybe adding more carrot and a little cornstarch to thicken, but that was it. It turned out great and it was super easy. I'll definitely do this again if I ever have halibut around. Perfect for a cold fall day in MN.

Eggnog Cheesecake III

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2013
I made this last year and am just going through all my recipes for the holidays again. I got a TON of rave reviews on this cheesecake. Everyone loved it and asked if it was store bought. I recommend if you want a cheesecake that's amazing! From what I remember, I made no changes and stuck with the directions exactly as laid out.

Paleo Spaghetti Squash with Spinach and Bacon Cream

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2012
Made this as we are looking to try the Paleo diet. We didn't really like anything about this meal. The spaghetti squash was still crunchy after putting in the microwave for the recommended time. The sauce was not good. I've had good Paleo meals but this was just bad.

Swedish Chocolate Balls (or Coconut Balls)

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2013
These are wonderful, but dangerous!! I can pop way too many in too short of time in my mouth. They're great for potlucks and I always get rave reviews. Save only a few for yourself at home because you'll find yourself popping one in your mouth every time you walk by :)

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2013
This stuff is awesome! We initially made it as a veggie dip for the Superbowl and had a bunch left over so we used it as a sub for mayo. Made sandwiches awesome. We also put it in tacos...topped it on meat. You get the idea. A lot of people I know who don't like cilantro absolutely loved it. As far as the recipe being vague on how much cilantro to put it in, it's kind of up to you, like most recipes. I started out with probably a handful or two and tasted it...I personally wanted more so I added a bunch more until it was satisfying to me. Delish!!

Oreo® Cookie Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2013
This is so great if you don't have a ton of time to get creative for a dessert dish. And even though it's got pretty usual ingredients, that won't hold back the amount of rave reviews you'll get. I made it once for the office and I had people asking to make it again, and people asking for the recipe. As I am sure it has been mentioned, you can have fun and tweak it with different flavored/colored oreos as well as different flavors of pudding. Have fun!

Sesame Udon Noodles

Reviewed: May 5, 2013
The flavor was pretty good. Even though I used low sodium soy sauce, it seemed really salty. I lowered the amount of oils based on some reviews. Husband thought it was a little too gingery for him.

Shrimp and Tasso Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2013
This recipe was delicious! We got some tasso from my mother-in-law and were searching for a recipe to use it in and found this one. We made it using shrimp instead of crawfish and I only had dry herbs but it worked out just fine. I added a picture to this recipe so people can have a look at how mine turned out as there are no other pictures at the time. We really enjoyed this and will make it again.
