I scaled the recipe to 4 servings. I used real butter, heavy cream, and fresh grated parmiagiano reggiano. The only things I did differently than the recipe stated was to omit the parsley (didn't have any), sauteed the garlic in the butter as it was melting, and stirred continuously. The sauce never separated. We served it over fettuccine, roasted broccoli, mushrooms, and chicken. Due to the high fat and calorie content it's definitely not going to be a frequent indulgence, but it was delicious! Simple, tasty, and quick!!
