Pumpkin Cream Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
So yummy and easy! This is so much more of a lighter pumpkin taste, and since it's served cold it's very refreshing after a big, heavy meal. I made this for Thanksgiving, and everyone loved it... even the non-pumpkin lovers :)

Chicken with Garlic, Basil, and Parsley

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
I made this for my family right before my mom came over to babysit. When i got home, I had mixed reviews. Almost everyone loved it except my oldest son. But he claims the baked tomatoes were awesome. So good in fact that he ate all the tomatoes off all the left overs. That left me with cold left over chicken minus the tomatoes. I have to say that I agree with the rest of the family, though. When i tried it, it was very yummy... cold, left over, missing tomatoes and all.

Caprese on a Stick

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
I had these at a friends house and they were wonderful! I've always been a caprese salad fan, but having these as bite sized appetizers is awesome, you get the full flavor from all the ingredients with each bite!

Grilled Fish Steaks

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
Awesome. So simple, yet the mixture of these flavors go so well together. We used halibut- don't cut back and use another fish. I love all seafood, and we rarely buy halibut because of its price. Im glad we did because this is my new go to recipe for date nights with my husband when we are staying home!

Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie Stew

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
It wasn't bad- that's all I can say really. My husband ate it, but flat out said he didn't like it, and my daughter felt the same. I didn't think it was bad, but it wasn't what I was hoping. The consistancy was more soupy than a pot pie filling, and the biscuits didn't do the trick when it came to replacing the pot pie crust. I froze the left overs, and I might try to put it in an actual pie crust next time and add some flour to the mix to thicken it up a bit. BTW, I did follow the recipe as written.

Strawberry Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
Something went horribly wrong when I was baking (but I am baking challenged).... I think I used too much butter for the crumb topping. And, for some reason, the bottom batter didn't do what it was supposed to...and it still was delicious. it didn't last 24 hours in my house. Yummy- just wish I could bake without a disaster ONE TIME :)

I'm trying to cut more meat out of my diet, and I saw this recipe and thought I'd give it a go. This was soooo easy with simple ingredients, and tasted delicious!

Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
was really good as is, but too sweet. i will cut back the amount of syrup next time (by a lot), but the overall BBQ taste is right on- and being from Texas, I know BBQ :)

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
nice to have a recipe that tastes so good and consists of ingredients that most people have on hand at home. I recently heard how much better for you it is to make your own seasonings as opposed to buying them packaged at the store.

What a fun dish! I love all the different variations of flavors you can make with it. I stuck to the posted recipe since this was my first time making it, and it was very delicious :)

Honey Bun Cake I

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2011
I am NOT a baker, but this turned out despite my baking handicap! I followed the recipe to the T, measurements and all- it wasn't the prettiest cake I've seen, but it pleased a crowd of 14 including my husband who doesn't have a huge sweet tooth (yeah right)!

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
this was awesome. i truly wanted to follow recipe as is, but noticed I was out of cream after I already started- so I improvised and found anything that said "cream" in my fridge (sour cream, cream cheese, creamy ranch) and combined about 3/4 cup of each to the dish, and... wow! It gets 5 stars for each person in my family that asked for seconds!!!

Cheesy Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
flavors went really well together, and the cheese is just an extra bonus. I had to use white rice because that's all I had, but I could only imagine that the brown rice would work just as well, if not a little better!

Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms II

one of the best and easiest warm appetizers i've ever had :) DON"T change a thing if you are trying this for the first time... find another recipe if the ingredients aren't what you're looking for.

Chicken Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
very good. i had more diced chicken than called for so I only used one can of veggies (this was a good change as I love chicken and cut down on the canned veggie taste). the only resaon I gave it four stars instead of five was because it wasn't SUPER AWESOME, but for how easy it was and the dish still being tasty, I will make again!

Yellow Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
i'm giving it 5 stars even though i didn't follow recipe exactly. I used two bags of frozen sliced squash (10 oz. each) and cooked them as directed with the addition of the chopped onions. I also used a boxed dried stuffing mix as the topping since I didn't have crackers, and drizzled it with butter before cooking. This was absolutely delicious. Next time I will try to use the ingredients in the recipe so I can get a true taste of what this dish is supposed to taste like, but done the way I did worked just fine!!!

Meatloaf with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
very tasty... has a meatball taste while keeping true to a meatloaf. my husband loved it and is not a big meatloaf fan. i used ground mild italian sausage (1 lb.), so I didn't have to go through chopping it up, and it blends with the normal texture of a meatloaf.
