Chef Scott's Pico de Gallo

I too had to modify this recipe, however, I will say it's the closest I've gotten to figuring out my favorite Mexican restaurant's salsa. Their salsa rocks- it's authentic like my Nina used to make and this (with a few modifications) hit the nail right on the head. Thanks for a basis for figuring out this great salsa!

Sweetened Whipped Cream

Graham Cracker Crust I

I was a professional baker for 4 years and this recipe far surpasses anything we did (as far as flavor goes). This is my graham cracker crust for life! People are constantly asking me for this recipe! Thank you for sharing this!

Magic Lemon Pie

If you like lemon curd- you will LOVE this pie! This is an incredible tasting & easy to make pie! I don't know why others have had a hard time getting theirs to come out, but both times I've made it, it was perfect. I make sure to beat the filling on high for 3-5 minutes and it comes out nice and thick. I haven't had any problems at all with the meringue turning out although I do double the meringue ingredients so I can have a higher topping on my pie- I think it's nicer looking. Each time I've made this it's folks devour it in seconds- not even a piece left over for the one who baked it! Your recipe has been added to the Christmas Pie Must list- that's a HUGE honor in our house! This pie is great and I thank you so very much for sharing it!!!!!!!!!!!

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

I added 1/2c br. sugar and 1t vanilla. I HATE PUMPKIN PIE but I actually ate and enjoyed this one! That says a tremendous amount! This is my pumpkin pie recipe from now on! Thank you so much for sharing a recipe that I can actually enjoy with the rest of pumpkin pie fiendish family!

Crispy Orange Beef

I, too, reduced the sugar by half. I used 3TB fresh squeezed orange juice instead of concentrate, everything else I followed to the 'T'. I even used the zest. Everyone on my house LOVED this recipe- including my 8 and 6 year olds! We found this recipe perfect- not too sweet or too orangey as others have stated. The strips cooked up perfectly crispy as well. I didn't deep fry them as much as I just fried them. Using the flour/egg/flour combo as some others have stated is not authentic so I didn't do that. I dried the beef (w/o using paper towels) for 5 hours in the fridge. I put them in a ziploc bag with the cornstarch to insure even coverage. With about 1/4c very hot oil, I fried (not wokked) them about 30 seconds each side. I also think part of the trick is to get the meat sliced almost paper thin. I sliced mine from partially frozen sirloin. We loved this stuff and I'll be utilizing it for orange chicken, and when we don't have our kids with us, I'll be spicing it up to make it hot. Chap Chee Noodles

According to other raters, this may not be genuine Korean food, but it was good. I used: onion powder (I was out of onion), snap peas, cabbage, bean sprouts, korean noodle, dash of seasoned rice vinegar, and 1ts Sri Racha hot sauce. Say what ya want, I thought this was fabulous as did the rest of my family. I will definitely be making ths again!

Pumpkin Cookies V

The icing is amazing, it was all I could do not to eat it with a spoon. The cookies themselves were, at best, mediocre, right out of the oven and later the same day. By the second day and on, however, wow! Like a fine wine, they aged beautifully with time! These were incredible and we all had to excercise extreme self control! These are really very good but I found I had to cook them for closer to 14 minutes. Thanks for this great treat!

Simple Slow Cooker Meatloaf

Ok, soooo I didn't have sausage or bread crumbs and I'm not a huge meatloaf fan anyways. I wound up using plain ground beef only and, believe it or not, shake-n-bake original pork crumbs. I thought for sure it was going to be like every other meatloaf we've tried- bland at best but, LO AND BEHOLD, it turned out great! My wee ones were even asking for seconds, and I had seconds as well. This is also great the next day for sandwiches! I don't know that I'll ever follow the recipe as written, but I'm making this for the second time tonight with my modifications. Thanks for sharing a great base recipe!

Slow Cooker Chile Verde

If you want this to tase like real chile verde, then follow my additions. Be sure to remove the jalapeno addition if you have kids to feed as it will make it to spicy for them. I did not use green salsa, I used green enchilada sauce (La palma), added two shredded, dried New Mexico chiles, 3 cloves of garlic, a can of roasted green chiles, 1/2 TB salt, 1/2 TB cumin, then I added 2 TB cornstarch during the last 30 minutes to thicken the sauce. Be sure to dissolve the cornstarch in cold water, then add to the hot chile verde. If you follow these additions, you'll have authentic chile verde from a slow cooker!

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

This was my first time ever eating or cooking Filipino food. I decided I'd try it as everyone at church (I'm catholic) raves about the food our Filipino ladies cook. Now I see what all the hoopla is about! This was not only easy, it tasted really amazing. I was surprised because looking at the ingredients, I didn't think it was going to be anything spectacular, I am so glad that I was wrong! If you're looking to try Filipino food, this a great, easy recipe to begin with! I will definitely be trying more Filipino recipes after this! Thanks for sharing!

Savory Crescent Chicken

This was great but I changed/added a few things: *2X the chicken *1/2 cup swiss cheese *1 small clove garlic *Sauteed chicken, garlic, onion *Sprinkled tops with parmesan instead of croutons This was really great with the tweeks I did to it. I think it could also be good with all of these tweeks plus a teaspoon of dijon mustard. Will certainly make this again as it was easy and quite a time saver. Thanks for sharing!

Turkey Minestrone

I changed NUMEROUS ingredients in this soup because I didn't have everything. I DID follow the recipe for the soup base and this still came out really good. I am Italian and used to minestrone that's heavily tomato based in contrast to the more watery base of this soup. So, I didn't think it was going to be very good but was I pleasantly surprised! This is really very good and a soup that I will certainly be making again! Thank you for sharing!

Slow-Cooker Posole

Knowing how to make traditional posole, I was skeptical of this recipe. I used chicken rather than pork because that's what I had. Being what I call a 'Throw Together' recipe (something you make from premade, usually canned seasoned items), this is really quite good. My entire family loved it. My father-in-law even duped my mother-in-law's dinner plans to stay for the soup (gotta love that!) and had several servings. I'd say, that makes this a pretty good recipe!! Thanks for sharing a much quicker version of this great soup!

French Baguettes

After trying many bread machine recipes from this site and being disappointed with all of them (all being far too dense for my taste), I finally came across this one. WOW!WOW!WOW!WOW! What more can I say? It had a perfectly crispy crust on the outside, and the most wonderful, flavorful, airy softness in the middle. This is what crusty bread is supposed to be!!! I WILL be making this again and again! Thanks for sharing this great recipe!
