The only thing I would do different next time would be to add less vanilla (1/2 tsp.) when adding raisins because the raisins add a sweet flavor as well. Otherwise, this recipe is a keeper.

Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup

This soup is fantastic with a bit of a kick...just right for a hearty winter soup. I took half and place in a blender for a thicker consistency, then returned it to the soup. My husband who hates bean soup had 3 bowls of it!!! Corn chips on the side go well with this. Keeping this recipe.

Chicken Diane Style

Really good. The only thing I would suggest is not to be too steadfast with the salt measurement. I would recommend to season lightly with it. I would certainly make this dish again.

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

I agree with other writers about adding a littl salt and vanilla flavoring to give it life. Otherwise, it's great. I rolled each in crushed walnuts for an added holiday look. Sorry, I had to take a star off for having to add the salt and vanilla flavoring. Also, I used my son's infant spoon to fill the cookies and had no over spill of jam.

Cranberry Relish with Grand Marnier® and Pecans

Lower Fat Chicken Vegetable Soup

My husband said it was fantastic and that I could make this dish any time again. I use frozen veggies instead, and added cooked noodles in at the end just before serving. Very hearty dish for a cold winter supper. Yummie...the spices were a perfect blend.

Homemade Apple Cider

Very time consuming during the busy holidays. Came out weak tasting, but sweet. Recipe made less than a gallon. Good for apple aroma throughout the house. Instead of throwing away the solids, I made apple butter with them. Next time I will just buy the apple cider from the store and a candle with apple cinnamon aroma and free up my stove for other recipes.

Party Punch VII

This punch made quite a hit at a party I gave. I made extra and froze it in a rubber star mold. After it was frozen, I popped it into the punch. Better than ice-cubes which serve only to dilute it and better than using a rubber glove as shown in the picture.....unless you are using it for a Halloween party.

Easy Salsa Meatloaf

Certainly had a good taste. I used ground turkey and baked it at 375 degree for 45 minutes and came out perfectly cooked. The texture was softer than what I'm used to in a meatloaf, but that's probably because I used ground turkey for the first time. I suppose oven temps can vary, but from some other reviews I've read, it does appear the 375 degree oven is best for this recipe.

Martha's Clam Dip

The cream cheese seemed to hide the flavor of the clams. I added an extra can of clams (chopped)in hopes by the next day the flavor will come through. Sorry, not impressed with the recipe as it is.

Delicious Pumpkin Bread

Mine flopped after following recipe exactly. My baking soda was new...I checked it. It looked great coming out of the oven, but a few minutes later it reacted like a burst ballon. I'm wondering if I should have left it in the oven to cool slowly, but nothing in the directions mentioned doing that.

Tuna Noodle Casserole III

I used whole wheat noodles as that was all I had on hand. It still came out good. Adding another can of tuna does no harm with an extra slice of cheese. I just mixed everything (except the cheese)in a bowl, placed in baking dish and then topped with cheese and flavored bread crumbs.

Classic Candied Sweet Potatoes

No complaints on this recipe. I feel if I cooked the sauce a little longer to gain some thickness to it, it would have coated the yams better. I did top off the dish with mini marshmellows baked briefly under a broiler for added touch. It really came out good.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

One star for the taste. Sadly, in order for this pound cake to be fully baked inside, the outside takes a beating by becoming too crisp for a pound cake. The crisp outside does not make for cutting smooth, clean slices. Sorry to say, I will not be saving this recipe. I truly don't understand the great reviews it did get.
