This is by far, the best granola I have ever had. The first time I made this, I made it into bars, but they came apart easily. So the next time (and many times since), I have made it into granola that I either put into a baggy and eat as is, or eat with milk. (this is SO good!)
I make the following modifications:
I use half (or sometimes all) almond butter in place of peanut butter because it's healthier. I also use 2 1/2 cups of oats, and not the quick ones! I increase the peanut (or almond) butter to 2/3 cup, 2/3 cup of honey (instead of corn syrup), and it's quite sweet this way, so if you don't like it too sweet, use less honey. I use 1/2 cup of brown sugar, increase the vanilla to 3/4 tsp, and add 1/3 cup of sliced almonds, 1/3 cup of raisins, 1/3 cup of dried cranberries, 1/4 cup of wheat germ. I mix it all up in a bowl, let it sit in the fridge for an hour- and wallah!
This never lasts more than a week, and everyone who tries it can't get enough of it.
EDIT: Add cinnamon and nutmeg to brown sugar\honey mixture, takes it over the top.
