Baked Chicken Nuggets

Loved these. I used whole wheat Panko bread crumbs, added some garlic powder, basil, salt, a few other seasonings. Soaked in butter milk (vinegar/milk) for 5 mins before shaking in bread crumb mixture. Baked for 25 mins at 400. SO good!

Banana Oat Muffins

These are super good. I used 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white, used almond extract instead of vanilla (ran out of vanilla) and added 2tsp of pumpkin pie spice instead of just cinnamon. LOVE these! They taste much better after sitting out for a while. I tried one right out of the oven, and it was just good. 5 hours later they are outstanding. I also added 1/2 tsp of baking soda!

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

note to self: make these again. and again. and again. perfect as gifts! these are superb. i used 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white, increased spices a bit, added a whole can of pumpkin, and added spice to the glaze. YUM!

Banana Crumb Muffins

These are really good, but a little too sweet for my taste, with the crumb topping. I've had better muffins. They are moist, they rose perfectly, they have a beautiful banana flavor, but something was just not... perfect about them, can't put my finger on it. I would never try these and think, "wow! these are the best muffins ever!" But I have thought that about other muffins I've made from this site. Moving on, but thank you.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

There is no better banana bread. This is IT! Outstanding. I used 4 very ripe bananas that I had in the freezer, mashed up. I used 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar. I added a handful of coconut and 2 tsp of pumpkin pie spice - also added a tsp of baking powder in addition to the baking soda. Made them into muffins, baked for 28 mins. THE BEST. SO GOOD!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

These are super good. I added fresh cranberries (so much better than dried!), used 1 C. white sugar, 1C brown sugar, and used home made apple sauce in place of 1/2 C. of the oil. I omitted one cup of sugar and didn't need it at all with the sweetened apple sauce. I made them into muffins, and when they were done, fresh out of the oven, I poked holes in the top and drizzled honey cinnamon butter on top. SOOOO GOOD!!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

If you're the type of person (like me) who would pass up a p.b. cookie any day for a chocolate chip one, this might not be the recipe for you. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with these cookies, they taste "okay". But I honestly don't get what all the hype is about. I made them exactly as written, they were easy to make. It's just... I didn't think anything was special about these cookies. They're really way too sweet and if you're like me and LOVE chocolate over p.b., move on from this recipe. There really isn't anything outstanding about these, in my humble opinion. I actually ended up throwing most of them away. Even my 4 year old didn't like them.

Soft Chocolate Cookies

These are super good. A nice change of pace from the usual chocolate chip cookie. I baked one batch for 9 minutes, and the other for 8 minutes. The batch that I baked for 8 minutes came out perfectly moist and yummy. The 9 minute batch one came out a little drier and cake like. These are a lot like brownies in taste and texture. Love them. I did dust mine with powdered sugar, but it's totally unnecessary. They're perfect without it.

Caribbean Zucchini Bread

All I have to say is that this is the best thing I've ever baked, hands down. And I bake a LOT. I used 3 bananas, doubled the coconut and used 1 1/2 C. of Whole Wheat Flour and 1 1/2 C. White. Amazing. Made them into muffins, baked for 25 mins.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Amazing. I added fresh cranberries to mine. I would only recommend that if you LOVE cranberries, they kind of over-power the zucchini taste, but we still couldn't stop eating these. I added the crumb topping another reviewer suggested (oats, brown sugar, butter, flour) and I think that topping took it over the top. I'm not usually a topping on a muffin kind of person, but these are the best muffins. I subbed 1 C. of home made apple sauce for 1/2 C. of the oil (and used 1/2 C. of oil), and used 1/2 whole wheat flour, and used 4 C. of zucchini instead of 2 (don't squeeze water out, it adds moisture). Made them into muffins. I'm making more today!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are really good cookies, taste-wise. The totally flattened on me though. I think they are a little too sweet, and maybe too much butter (they're RICH). I used 1/2 oat flour (just ground up my oats). I would make these again, but with a little less sugar and less butter.

Best Bread Machine Bread

SUPER good bread. Way better than expected. I used the dough cycle on my bread machine, baked it in my oven. I put corn meal in the bread pan, which gave it a nice added crunch. Making third loaf in 2 days, it's going fast.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

there's no doubt that these are good, i wouldn't refuse one. but i've had better. i always make the "mom's chocolate chip cookies" on this site. it calls for vanilla pudding mix in the batter- those are to die for. i've been making those for years and everyone asks for the recipe. i decided to try something different for once, and i'm not disappointed with this recipe, but i'm convinced that the "mom's chocolate chip cookies" are the best.

Supreme Apple Butter

There are no words for how good this is. I didn't have apple brandy, so I subbed apple cider. I also didn't have frozen apple concentrate, used 1/2 cup or so of apple juice instead. Didn't measure the spices, just shook them in the crock pot, used more cloves and other spices than called for. I cooked it with the lid on the crock pot over night (about 12 hours total), then another 12 hours with lid off. It could have cooked longer with lid off, but I got impatient and wanted to jar it. I have never had anything I love better made out of apples than this. Store bought apple sauce doesn't even come close to comparing. This stuff ROCKS!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Hands down, the absolute best apple pie I've ever had - EVER. This is AMAZING. The only slight change I made was to mix the syrupy stuff in with the apples and then i just drizzled a tablespoon or so on top of the crust. WOW! I will never use another apple pie recipe again.

MMMMM... Brownies

oh.my.gawd. best brownies ever. and SO easy to make. took me 5 minutes to whip it up. i also added the rest of the bag of chocolate chips to the batter after mixing in flour. used high quality chips, makes all the difference. i used ghirardelli semi sweet chips.
