Slow Cooker Cheese Steaks

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2011
Very good! I definitely would read the first review from the owner of this recipe. I used a 2.6 lb trip tip steak and it was way overcooked after 4 hours. Next time I will do only 3 hours. I also made sure to add the 1 T of red wine vinegar that was suppose to be listed in the recipe. The white American cheese was so good on this! And definitely put two slices of cheese on each sandwich because once it melts you will want extra! Thanks for sharing a great and easy recipe!

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
I gave this 5 stars with our changes. I used a rotisserie chicken, added 1/2 bag of frozen veggies, 1/2 small onion sauted with 2 cloves of garlic, 1 teaspoon of thyme, and 3/4 can of milk per another reviewers recommendation. Even people who don't care for casseroles will love this one!

Bacon Quiche Tarts

Reviewed: May 8, 2010
Very tasty and nice presentation. I used Grands biscuits and cut them in half. Next time I will try sausage because the bacon was a little soggy for my taste.

YUM! My only advice is use half the amount of salt. It was really salty! I added spicey Italian sausage and roasted red peppers.

Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
Great base recipe!! I followed another reviewer's advice and doubled the vanilla, used only 2.5 cups of sugar, 4 T of milk, and 1 cup of butter (no shortening). This frosting is delicious with the One Bowl Chocolate Cake III recipe from this site!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
I made this cake along with the Buttercream Icing recipe on this site. My husband told me it's one of the best cakes he has ever eaten and he LOVES cake! I followed another reviewer's advice and upped the cocoa powder to 1 cup. I used a 9X13 pan and baked it for 30 minutes. Thank you for this amazing recipe!

Chocolate Banana Cream Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
I only used the chocolate layer portion of the recipe for my pie. It turned out delicious! Makes enough to cover the crust with a decent sized layer of chocolate.

Habanero Pepper Cream Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
We loved this recipe! I used a whole fresh habanero because we could not find a dried one. I agree you will need 16 oz of pasta for all of the sauce. Our sauce was super thick. Next time we'll add less flour and a little less cheese.

Andouille and Chicken Creole Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
I love this recipe! I took the advice of others and used only 1 T of creole seasoning and it was still plenty spicey. I also added an extra link of Andouille because we love it. Very tastey meal and makes a TON!

Cream Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
This recipe is outstanding! I adjusted the recipe to make 12 instead of 36 cupcakes. I used milk chocolate frosting, so yummy! I also used a vegetable peeler to cut a tiny plug out of the top to fill with the cream. It was much easier than going through the bottom.

This recipe is delicious! The only thing I would do different is cut down on the ginger next time because it was a bit strong. Sooooo tastey and fool proof!

Shredded Beef Chimichangas

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
Wow this is soooo delicious! I took the advice of other reviewers and added garlic and onion to the meat. I also cooked the meat in the slow cooker and added a bit of extra beef broth. I shredded the beef after about 6 hours on low, put it back in the juice, and let it soak it up for another few hours. I used 6 soft taco size shells and added cheese to the inside of each. I took the advice of another reviewer and made her recipe for brown chipotle sauce which was the magic touch on this recipe! Here it is: 2 T butter 2 T flour 1 c beef broth 1 c water 1 t cumin 3 cloves garlic -- minced 1 t oregano 3 canned chipotle chiles -- seeded and minced (3 to 4) (These are not all that hot) 2 T adobo sauce from can 2 T sour cream.

BBQ Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
This is a 5 star recipe with some changes. My husband doesn't like red onion so I used a bit of green. Like other reviewers have said you need way less of some ingredients such as BBQ sauce and yellow peppers. We added crispy bacon to the top and it was delicious! I also used pillsbury pizza dough in the can and did not pre bake it before adding the toppings. Turned out great! Will for sure make this one again!

Crispy Orange Beef

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
Very delicious recipe! We did not have enough ginger and it came out with too strong of a citrus flavor. Next time I would cut down the orange peel. Also, pretty labor intensive meal. But still, very good!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
This is THE BEST cookie recipe ever! They are not cakey as other reviewers have said. Make sure to use real butter and melting it is key. Also, sometimes they bake for me in 11 minutes and other times it's taken near 20 minutes. Just wait for them to brown along the edges and then pull them out. Once they start to brown they can get too crispy very quickly. Keep an eye on them and you will be so happy with the results! People always tell me they look like they came from a bakery!
