Banana Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2013
I made exactly as stated, it was the best moist banana cake. I did not frost the cake, I didn't think it needed it. For the sour milk I used 1tbsp of lemon juice and then added the milk to equal the 3/4 cup. I will be making this again!

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2013
Omg awesome! I followed the recipe, I needed to add a bit more chicken stock to keep from going gummy at the end. I added some cooked mushrooms at the end with the cheese. This is going to be a new side dish weekly at my house. Yummy

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
This really deserves 10 stars!!! I thought that these would be labour intensive, but I was wrong. It does take some time (more like waiting time for the dough to double in size)but its totally worth it. My nine year old son, enjoyed watching every step in the process and couldn't wait to eat one. I'm making another batch today! These are perfect! thx

Delicious Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
This bread is fool proof, I made the dough in the breadmaker. Only because when I tend to make bread from hand it never works:( Anyhow the flavour was perfect, this bread wasn't heavy and it didn't need butter. I pretty much ate one loaf to myself. PERFECT BREAD YUMMY

Beef Tenderloin With Roasted Shallots

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
Oh my if I could give this a 10 i would have. The meat was insanely lovely and the sauce was heavenly. I didn't have port so I used sherry, and I made the sauce ahead of time. You would have thought that just by taste alone that you had slaved in the kitchen for hours. Making the sauce ahead of time made this a breeze. The smell of the shallots roasting makes your mouth water. thx for this reipe, I will be making it again and again.

Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2013
The whole family loved this rub, I did cut the cayenne in half as I knew it would be too spicy for my ten year old. In the end I made two types of gravy spicy mom and dad gravy and then I whipped up some not spicy gravy for the kids. I would make this again and again!

French Baguettes

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2013
Great French bread! I made this in my bread machine, and the dough cycle is 2 hours long. It may be quicker to make by hand, if you are pressed for time. This was insanely easy to make, no more store bought French sticks for me! Thx for sharing

Quick and Almost-Professional Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: May 5, 2010
This is a nice Piping icing, I managed to get 16 cupcakes piped with a Wilton 1M tip. I followed the ingredients to a T, I found that the vanilla was a bit stong for my taste. However, the kids gave it two thumbs up.

Mom's Raisin Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2012
I thought that these were good oatmeal cookies, a little bland. I did change the ingredients a wee bit. I added 2 cups of oatmeal, and 2 cups of flour. I substituted apple sauce for the oil, just to make them a bit more healthy. I thought that they needed a bit more cinnamon, perhaps 1/2 tsp. These are great basic healthy cookies. Hubby loved them, even tho they were healthier ;) Oh I almost forgot I did refrigerate the dough for approx 20 mins before baking
