White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

This is probably one of the best cookie recipes out there! Who knew that a simple recipe of your basic cookie dough plus white chocolate chips and dried cranberries would be this good? The contrast in flavors and textures was perfect! Not too sweet, not too tart. Not too crunchy, not too soft. Just right. Definitely something to try when you're bored of making chocolate chip cookies! I didn't have any brandy on hand, but the vanilla worked fine. Make sure not to overbake...take them out when it's still kind of doughy like the recipe says. Everyone that tried my cookies LOVED them! A warning though...they are surprisingly rich! It's okay, they'll still disappear lightning quick! :)

Chocolate Banana Bread

I've been meaning to rate this recipe for a while...let's just say that it's one of my FAVORITE things to bake. First of all, if you love chocolate, you need to try this. Second, if you want a spin on traditional banana bread, this is it! I personally did not find the chocolate overwhelming (you can definitely tell it's banana bread), in fact, I threw in extra chocolate chips! I also added some walnuts for texture. The recipe is simple, and quick to throw together...I did extend the baking time a little though. Try it...you won't regret it! :)

BBQ Chicken Pizza I

This is such a yummy recipe! Just thinking about it makes me want more! :) It's not too sweet (though depending on what kind of bbq sauce you use, it might be sweet than expected), and the cilantro made it wonderful! I threw on mushrooms too. Try this, you won't be disappointed!

Pan-Fried Asparagus

I love asparagus already, and with this recipe, I love it even more! This was easy to make, the recipe is great! Unfortunately, if you're watching your weight, this isn't something you can have all the time...I'm going to try cutting back on the butter next time. Hopefully it'll turn out just as well! :)

Amusement Park Cornbread

This was soooo yummy! It was quick and easy to make, something you can do while your main dish cooks. The cornbread was not like your typical cornbread...it's not dry. In fact, because of the amount of flour in the recipe, it was very soft and even a bit cake-like! The sweetness was just right...I'm going to make this instead of boring old cornbread from now on! :)

Chicken Pot Pie I

This was a great recipe! It was very easy to make, and took very little time to prepare. In addition to the canned mixed veggies, I added some cubed red potatoes which made the pie a bit more substantial. The pot pies made with bisquick or jiffy baking mix are just as quick and easy to make, but I would choose this over over those recipes any day! It's just so nice to have a pie with a nice flaky buttery crust. :)

Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

This cake was so wonderful! It was deliciously moist, and oh so yummy. People keep asking for more! One thing I noticed is that the cake rises quite a bit when in the oven, especially the edges. Be careful of overflow! I used mini chocolate chips (as one reviewer suggested), and it was excellent! I didn't have any almond extract around, but vanilla works just as well. For variety, I also tried mint extract (about half a teaspoon, it's much stronger than vanilla), and it was great! Anyway, this was a great recipe, thanks!

Lime Chicken Picante

Great recipe! Very tasty and easy to make. Like a lot of the other reviewers, I have to say that this recipe *must* be doubled...or else you'll have cranky people asking for more sauce! :) After doubling the recipe, I had just enough left over to put on top of the rice. Yum!

Cashew Crusted Chicken

This was a great recipe, I really loved it! Just remember to chop up the cashews really well...I didn't, and they didn't stay on the chicken pieces which was a bit frustrating. It didn't matter though because we scooped up the pieces and ate them with the sauce! Yum! :) The dish wasn't too sweet, and it went really well with white rice. For variety, I think I'm going to do what some people suggest and throw a few chili peppers in the sauce next time.
